This is a beautiful lampshade that can be easily converted to a hanging swag lamp. It is ornate. Nicely patinaed brass with alternating slag glass panels of brilliant red and swirled white. From what I understand, minerals were added during the process of making the glass to get those rich colors and swirl marks. I am no expert though. I will throw in the base for free if you purchase. The base is not original to the lamp. It is a heavy brassy base. Ornate and compliments the shade nicely. We have searched the internet for one like this one and we cannot find another one like it. This original antique(1900-1920) stained glass hanging lamp was once a chandelier. It has been re-wired as a hanging lamp. From our research it appears to have been made by Chicago Mosaic Shade Co. The colors of the of the flowers and leaves are NOT faded and the lamp is beautiful. It stands 16 inches tall and measures 22 1/2 inches across at the bottom. The lamp has two sockets and it works great. It is sometimes described as a slag lamp. I will not ship this antique lamp because the glass is delicate and it is very heavy(40-50 lbs) If you buy it you must pick it up in Albuquerque. New Mexico. I offer a two week return policy. The Tiffany style lamp has a shade made of slag glass and the lamp itself is cast metal(I am not sure of the type) There are no markings. This is not a reproduction. This lamp was purchased in an antique store in approximately 1974. So it is AT LEAST 40 years old. This lamp is very heavy and solid. The shade sets solidly on the unique shade-holder. The beautiful design on the shade has an art-deco quality about it. One panel in the shade has a long crack in it(see photos) This crack was there when the lamp was purchased. The crack is not noticeable when the lamp is off but is more noticeable when turned on. However. This panel can easily be turned toward the wall if necessary. We have had this pair of metal angel lamps in our family for about 40 years. An they were old when we got them. Their details and patina are just spectacular. Each with one enchantingly angel holding up the light, and are fully operational. They are of two heights only because their their harps are different heights. They each have a matching finial. The heavy-weight metal seems to be pewter. Because is it very soft. In fact, some seams on each lampshade are in various sages of separating, but none is broken. They can be repaired, but the underlying armature rigging, which may not be original, has worked well all those years to keep the shades in proper shape. The detailing on the shades is Tiffany-like. But we do not see markings. The stained glass is thick and in great shape, and held on with fold-over clips that are extensions of the shade ... moreframing. All in all, excellent craftsmanship. These table lamps measure: 21inches and 22.5 inches. With a span of 13 on the shades, and 8 inch bases. A really special pair of lamps that never fails to"wow" visitors to our home. Good luck! Enjoy!

Antique Cast Metal Lamp BASE 2 socket Art Nouveau Tiffany Stained Glass style
This antique lamp is OUTSTANDING! Out of the depths of my parents basement- cast metal NOT A REPRODUCTION. This piece is stunning and I am sure it was orignally purchased to become one of my mothers bases for her stained glass shade making hobby. I cannot find a makers mark on it but it just screams quality! Has a Art Nouveau look to it and I did find that one of the sockets is marked BEAVER and dated with a patent of Oct. 11. 1921- pictures will reveal that at some point in time one of the sockets has been replaced with a newer one. It has a dark gold tone color to it. The base is decorative as well as the column- the column has pretty oval"frames" on it with a bow and swooping design. There is also a bit of a floral design to it as well- hard to describe but STUNNING! There is some high point edge wear to the piece. You will also ... morenotice there is some scuffing to the top part just before the two sockets. Two pull chains with tulip ends. Base does show some darkening in spots- great patina? It has its original metal cord that is wrapped. I am NOT SURE if it is missing a part on the top or not- will let you experts decide that- it does have what I will call a finial which is pictured. All in all a GREAT ANTIQUE PIECE. Measures21 1/4" from base bottom to top of inial- base is prox. 8 3/4" wide. IT IS A heavy piece weight is prox. 9 pounds UNBOXED. A great piece-will be stunning with a stained glass,slag glass or reverse painted shade on it. I did put two bulbs in it and it works fine. Each socket works on its own- one bulb or two-your choice for light amount. I would rate this piece right up there with a Tiffany or Handel piece.IT IS ORIGINAL and beautiful! Beautiful array of colors and textures with smooth slag, ripple slag and red"eye" gems in a repeating pattern. Simply outstanding! Antique Vtg Lily Pad Cast Bronze? Lamp w/Harp& Finial for Tiffany Style Shade
This item is an estate find. Age and origin unknown. It is an old Lily Pad Design Lamp with the Harp and Finial for use with a Tiffany Style Shade. The very top of the finial piece is darker which will nicely go together with the leading of a shade. It measures about 17.75 inches height. The base without the harp is about 10.75" height and the width of the base is approximately 4.5 inches inches. All measurements are approximate. It works but we recommend rewiring all vintage electrics and cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage due to use of vintage electrics. The socket is Leviton with what appears to be a bakelite switch; the harp and finial will be shipped unattached. Condition: great. Works, may benefit from light cleaning and dusting.
