Exceptional reverse painted table lamp Pairpoint artist
This is really a fabulous Pairpoint table or parlor lamp. Expertly reverse painted on a Berkeley style shade and signed by the artist W. Macy(this artist is specifically mentioned in Malakoff's book) Large heavy shade depicting a forest of old beautiful trees(oak I believe) accenting the heavy trunk and limbs. The almost exact shade may be seen on p. 129 of Malakoff's book. Supported on a traditional Grecian urn base in bronze. Both shade and base signed by the Pairpoint Manufacturing company. This is an original Pairpoint glass shade with brass base. This boudoir sized lamp stands 13" tall. Including brass base. The shade is 9 1/2" across the widest point and 6 1/2" tall. I am offering this lamp at an astronomically low starting bid. The lamp glows beautifully and rich when lit. Use low watt bulbs. As most of these shades were destroyed over the years from overheating. This is an ORIGINAL and Signed on both shade and base. The shade is decorated with pink and purple poppies and thorny green leaves stylized in a yellow basket weave effect. My neighbors absolutely went nuts when I placed this lamp in the front window for display for a couple of nights. This lamp measures 14" tall. The metalwork on the base and stem is a bronze and green finish. Very Tasteful. The original cloth cord still looks excellent and ready to use. There is a hairline in the shade that is unnoticeable unless you are looking really hard and look sideways towards the lamp when lit. Pairpoint Reverse-Painted 4 Seasons Boudoir Lamp
This spectacular Pairpoint boudoir lamp has reverse paintings of the 4 seasons on the Exeter shaped glass shade. In between each panel is a smaller panel painted with an Art Nouveau motif which is also carried onto the top of the shade. The lamp is 15" tall. And the shade is 8 1/2" in diameter. The lamp is stamped with the Pairpoint firm's mark. The gilt-metal base has an urn-shaped standard. This lamp has been in my family for 70 years. It was purchased from a jewelry store in Madison, Wisconsin. The lamp was featured in a major New York antique dealer's catalog in December, 2001.

Grapes and Arbor Consolidated Puffy Lamp Shade Reverse Painted Pairpoint Type
Antique"Consolidated Glass" Reverse painted, puffy lamp shade of grapes and vines on arbor. Measures 5-3/4 inches high and approximately 5-1/2 inches diameter. Fitter end measures 2-1/4 inches at the widest and just over 2 inches at the narrow part of the neck. No chips, cracks or damage. In the 5th photo you can see there are tiny flecks of paint on the shade. I took a photo of what I considered the area of the worst of the paint flecks. Both the top and bottom have been factory ground with only a couple of very minor breakouts on the bottom. Excellent. Check out the photos. More lamp shades coming in the next couple of weeks. This Pairpoint Puffy lamp has puffy flowers and butterflies surrounding the sides of the shade against a white background with green vining buds and leaves. This shade is called the Florence shade because of the bump out at the top. The exterior of the shade is accented with gilded outlines. Shade is signed on the interior near the lip"The Pairpoint Corp'n" as well as a patent date of July 9, 1921. Base has minor wear and discoloration to finish as well, the base is also marked. The base measures 8.5" wide and 4.5" tall. The height of the base and shade together is approximately 14" tall. There is an internal crack at the very top of the shade, see photo#5 ... morewhich runs approximately 2/3 of the way around the bump out. Buyer pays shipping. It has a beautifully simple floral decor that scrolls over a soft white background. The base has art deco lines but retains its naturalistic form like a machine that grew from the ground.
