Hartford& Erie Railroad and the Norwich& Worcester Railroads as they pass through this area of Massachusetts. Also has names of subscribers, the businesses that gave money to have these maps and the atlas printed. Unsure of the exact material it is drawn on but it has a very fine fabric weave with a smooth shiny finish and feels like onion skin(possibly silk combined with paper? Which had become a'gentleman's suburb' by 1800. Hamlets were at the summits of Bittacy and Milespit Hills, and large houses were strung along the line of the Ridgeway between them. The 1941 route map of Massachusetts is very good and was issued by the Department of Public Works. Still in very good condition this 1950's booklet is Falmouth Past and Present by Robert Elphick. It was sponsored by the Falmouth Junior chamber of Commerce and published by Kendall Printing Co. Falmouth, Mass. There are 100 pages with black& white photos and articles on some of the more famous or well ... moreknown buildings and places. In back are ads from local businesses. There are 2 newspapers called The Village Patriot from Old Sturbridge Village dated Summer 1966; 3 papers Cohasset Colonial Courier by Hagerty from Cohasset Massachusetts; a Sturbridge area tourist guide with inked date 1970; 2 Sturbridge Village tickets; and a postcard from Martha's Vineyard that was never used.
