Sheet size is about 29.25" x 18.25" and the map is printed almost to the edge-with margins of about 1/4" to 1/2" The map was included in a 1905 Atlas of Scott County. Iowa; published by the Iowa Publishing Company, of Davenport. This is a detailed map which includes streets and railroads; public buildings; parks; ferries; schools; fire companies; cemeteries; industrial locations and more. There is a street locator printed on the top right(third scan below) and the bottom and lower left margins shows locators for: Fire Alarm Boxes; Police Patrol Boxes; Banks; Halls. Blocks& Public Buildings; Public Parks& Squares; Theaters; ... moreHotels; Cemeteries; Asylums, Convents and Homes; Schools; and Churches. Up for sale is a nice colored map of Davenport. Illinois, and part of Iowa published by the Geological Survey Culture, and revised by the Army Map Service from aerial photography. A colored map, this is a very large one page map measuring approximately 39 by 46 1/2 inches. The polyconic projection shows grids of Davenport, Rock Island, Moline, and vicinity. Published circa 1952. These maps are very scarce and show the area in fantastic detail. A rare piece that will look great when framed. Overall map is in good condition. It has been stored rolled and will ship that way. There is some small denting/folding along the top right side border. Some light creasing and other dings here and there. Waterloo, Davenport, Council Bluffs, Dubuque, Sioux City, and Cedar Rapids, a calendar of events, and a number key to scenic locations in the state.
