ANTIQUE DUCK DECOY. From. Wisconsin. Lake Winnebago& The Bays of Lake Michigan Working Bluebill Decoy. Probably from 1900-1930s. Looks as if it was body was cut through the middle. Possibly to hollow out. The neck is stuck but probably used to swivel. Part of bill missing. Carved grooves outline the bill. Glass eyes, one with some stray paint. Head looks large and round from the side and fairly narrow from the front. Plump body style, attractive shape, round lead weight on bottom. Old working re-paint, wonderful bird-shot scars. Absolutely Gorgeous Birdseye Maple Dresser& Mirror.From 1917 Life is short. Surround yourself with beauty! A spectacular piece of American made furniture that glows with its wonderful birdseye maple. This was made by the Northern Furniture Company which was located in Sheboygan. Wisconsin. The company logo is branded inside the top middle drawer. I am very certain of the date this piece was made.since it was stamped on the back(as required at the time) of the mirror glass. The original mirror was damaged so I had a new custom mirror made.The new mirror is a work of art itself, it was hand beveled(not machine made) following the contours of the frame, it looks fantastic. I restored this piece meticulously from top to bottom. Including some veneer restoration. Of course the drawers feature high quality dovetail joinery at all four corners ... moreof the drawers. The drawers were all taken apart and fully restored, strong and rock solid,they slide excellently.I restored the entire finish with many, many coats of hand rubbed varnish, bringing out the wonderful character of the all the wonderful maple grains. A fact about the birdseye.it is called"heavy birdseye maple"this means it has the most birdseyes per square inch of all birdseye maple. This"heavy birdseye maple" is extremely rare and highly sought after. You will notice the stunning darker brown highlights(photos) in wood such as on the front legs and the mirror frame. These are natural highlights in the wood. The birdseye maple is thick veneers. The solid maple knobs are original to the piece. the solid brass keyhole covers I added for flair. All of the locks work perfectly, with the new key.This piece is built like a tank, made with solid maple. Like any fine antique this has very minor beauty marks such as tiny dings, veneer repairs etc. Perhaps this beauty is calling your name.this lovely heirloom piece is ready to grace your home and provide many years of delight!all the best. WISCONSIN PORCELAIN AMERICAN ART POTTERY MOTTLED BEIGE ANTIQUE STYLE CROCK-JAR
Up for auction is a Scarce and Marked. Wisconsin Porcelain Company of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin(1919 to Present) 100% True Heavy Porcelain, American Art Pottery, Crock-Jar and Lid with a Brown Speckled and Mottled Gloss Beige Glaze Application along with Gold Trim in"Near-Mint" Used Condition, Circa 1930s to 1970s(or Possibly Later) which was Manufactured for an Unknown Purpose or Client at the time of this listing. This superb heavy porcelain crock-jar has no chips. Cracks, glaze crazing, scratches, scuffs, stains, repairs or factory flaws of any kind. I've graded its condition as being"Near-Mint" because when you look at the gold trim which was only applied to the lid you will see some tiny specks where some of the gold is either thin or worn away. You can see this close up by using the"Super Size" and"Zoom" ... morefeatures I've provided and you'll also see the worn gold isn't that noticeable. It really doesnt' hurt the aesthetic value of this fine crock, but it must be pointed out for accuracy sake. This jar measures about 3 3/8 inches tall with the lid on and without the lid it measures about 3 inches tall. Across the top it measures about 3 3/4 inches in diameter and the inside top opening is about 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The very bottom was left dry without glaze and it's sightly recessed which leaves a 1/2 inch wide ring base for the piece to rest on. The lid for this jar actually hangs over the top ridge so it measures about 4 7/8 inches in diameter and it's about 1 1/8 inches thick. The mark on the bottom is in-mold and it reads"Wisconsin Porcelain Co. within a recessed circle. This crock-jar was made from a true porcelain and it's a heavy porcelain piece weighing just over 2 pounds at exactly 2 pounds. 1.1 ounces. When you weigh the bottom jar section by itself it weighs 1 pound, 4.7 ounces and the lid by itself weighs 12.4 ounces. This is a beautiful ornate two handled antique souvenir vase. This is a cobalt blue china vase with a Birds Eye View Of Westby. Wis. on the front. The vase is 3 5/8' long from handle to handle and 5 5/8' tall. The vase has no markers marks on the bottom, but I think it was made in germany(most of these types of souvenir peices were made there) The vase is in excellent condition no chips, cracks, repairs or scratches. We have up for auction a very old. JOHN GRAF MILWAUKEE WIS. soda bottle from around the turn of the 20th Century. The bottle is a medium aqua color with a blob top and has an Eight(8) sided octagonal base. There is a little roughness around some of the sharp edges on the base, and a lot of bubbles and straw marks in the glass. I removed what dirt I could using detergent and warm water, but made no attempt to clean the remaining residue. There is a small amount of cloudiness, but overall the bottle is in good condition considering its age. Here is some info found on the internet about the company: John Weber a Milwaukee Real Estate agent purchased a 87 acre plot on the northern side of Waukesha. Wisconsin. Mr. Weber had no idea what was to come and the monumental impact he would have with the Moor Down mud baths and a health resort. Mr. Weber's property had black Moor mud on it and it contained the same medicinal remedies that the black Moor mud did in Germany and ... morethe European mud baths.Upon a trip and follow up research to Germany the decision to built the Grand View Health resort was built and opened in 1911. This property is now part of the Waukesha County office buildings. Prior to the county the property was a Catholic seminary. The original hotel and resort was thirty two rooms with an addition that followed that added another thirty rooms. Andrew Frame. A Waukesha resident built a large golf course in 1919 around the whole complex and the golf course still is in use today. 1916 saw John Weber Jr. patent a new type of couch for mud baths made from clay or terra cotta. The whole system was heated and was easier to clean up as well. The baths at Moor Downs grew and added yet another wing in 1921. And a women's bath in 1926. An east wing was added in 1928. Capacity was 200 visitors a day, the complex and had 108 rooms. In 1929, the stock market crashed and the Great Depression struck Waukesha and the entire country. High bidder wins an old Pabst(Blue Ribbon) bottle from Milwaukee. The bottle is amber in color. Pint in size. It has a front slug plate that reads PROPERTY OF(arched at the top) PABST/ BREWING COMPANY(in two lines in the center and MILWAUKEE(reverse arched below) The glass manufacturer is S B& G Co(bottom) there is a hub date of 95(1895) This bottle is in good condition but it does have some condition issues typically found on returnable bottles of this age. Specifically. And most noticable is a chalky white appearance on the surface. It looks better when wet but it does not wash off. There is also heavy mineral haze or opalizing on the inside. There is some case wear that gets heaviest at the base(along the bottom of the hub) This is most visible along the right side mmold seam where there are multiple flea bites. There is another bite ... moresmall bruise on the bottom. And a tiny one below the slug plate- with another slightly bigger one on the back. There is no serious damage such as chips or cracks. The bottle is an original authentic artifact with no repairs or alterrations. All in all a neat piece of breweriana from a long gone era. Offered is an antique. Souvenir paperweight that features a real photograph of the high school in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This piece dates back to the early 1900s. The glass paperweight measures 4" x 2 5/8" x 7/8" thick. The photograph is strongly bonded to the glass. However. There is an area of wear towards the bottom edge of the photo. This could be left as-is, or you could touch it up from behind with paint that matches the color of the photo. Condition: There is a small bite towards the lower-left. Bottom corner of the glass. Antique Mahogany Wisconsin Chair Co. Dining Set Sold by Macys
Hi. All original Wisconsin Chair Co. mahogany dining set. Older, never refinished set. Same as when I purchased this 15 years ago. All five chairs are nice and tight and the table hardware is all in great shape. There are no chips in the tables edge, one small ding in the surface, and all the trim is intact. Same with the 11 1/2" leaf. Does have some light surface scuffing that can be seen at the right angle. The table is 30" high and 48" X 32" without the leaf. Chairs are 33 3/4" high at the back. Don't know what year this is from, the table top seems to be some kind of laminate, tougher than any kind of top I have seen before. There are tags on all the chairs and one on the table. I'm guessing the early forties from the real tax stamp. Looks like postage stamp but used for tax purposes. Prefer pick-up of ... morethis set but shipping can be arranged.
