Dimensions: 16x12in or 41x31cm. This is an original antique double sided page or leaf from the 1943 WWII Wartime published Encyclopedia Britannica Atlas. Please note that this is not a lot for two separate images but rather this is a page with two sides. Each with a map of it's own. There are some condition issues with this map: minor discoloration along the page edges and brittle paper. No major tears or creases or holes. It is in largely Good to Very Good condition. Given it's age. This specific map features on one side the state of Virginia. With Richmond, Portsmouth, Roanoke, and Washington D.C. clearly labelled. The coastline of this state map is quite nice, as the blue of the Chesapeake contrasts with the yellow of the state. On the other side are two New England states: Rhode Island and Vermont. On the Rhode Island map, the Narragansett Bay and it's islands are very visually appealing, along with the somewhat removed Block Island, separated by it's sound. This offering features a one-page Rand McNally. Detailed, multi-color map of Rhode Island. The map was extracted from the Library Atlas of the World, published in 1894 by Rand McNally& Co. and which was in unsalvageable condition. The last three photos validate the origin of the map and the publishing date. The map shows a nice inset of the City of Providence. And Block Island is clearly shown in the overall image. This map has a page size of 9-3/4" wide x 13-1/2" long. And an image size of 9" wide x 12-3/8" long. This is a pre-owned. 6" x 6" pottery trivet. On the back of the trivet it say's, Hand Decorated by Screencraft, West Yarmouth Mass. on Cape Cod. The white spots on the lst picture are from the camera on the flash. The only thing I could find wrong is a very very very small chip on the left lower corner as you are looking at the trivet.

This is a 1931 map of Rhode Island. It is from a scarce Cram's Atlas. The map measures 11.25 X 15 inches. It is in near mint condition showing only minor handling. Buyer will get a printed out page size copy of the index page. This is superior to any"Certificate of Authenticity" which are normally printed out on the sellers own computer. We send this to prove map was extracted from this extremely rare atlas and to help with insurance appraisals as the map will surely increase in value. There are a few reasons this map is rare. And more difficult to obtain than a Cram's map of the late 1800's. In 1931 the United States and the World was in a catastrophic depression. Thus Cram's did not print as many, and very few people had the money to buy this atlas.
