But he is perhaps best known for his remarkable partnership with Emanuel Bowen(1714-1767) with whom he published The Large English Atlas: a remarkable work of extraordinarily detailed county maps, all featuring blocks of informational text about the county towns, markets etc. His maps. This is a one-layer map of North Carolina produced by Denoyer-Geppert. This is an intermediate map. So it is more detailed than a primary or early learner map. The map does have bright colors and simple-to-read text. This is a vintage canvas map. There is not a copyright date. But I estimate this map is probably from the 1960's? This map measures 45 inches high by 52 inches wide. It comes mounted on a spring roller. With a wood dowel at the end. This map is older(probably 1960's) So it does show some wear and age. It does not have any specific defects, but does smell and look"old. It kind of has a vintage-y smell to it, but there is no water damage. There is a"line" toward the bottom of the map that shows some wear or age. This line of wear is at the very bottom of the map, by the dowel rod, and it is not on the map ... moreof North Carolina.
