New Caledonia, Bermuda, Tahiti, Bourbon, Mauritius, Fiji, Hawaii and the Maltese Islands. Hand colored outline to the boundaries and coastline. Good condition. I counted through a list of 113 items beginning with"Papaya Tree" on Kauai to the"Birthplace of King Kamehameha" on the Big Island of Hawaii. There a great many details in this pictorial map and I consider it a true work of love by the artist Joseph Feher. Archer(filled out by typewriter) with a postmark dated July 23. 1956. Cartographer: Joseph Feher(1908-1987) was a Hungarian born watercolorist active in Hawaii from about 1930-1960. Feher fell in love with Hawaiian history and culture and completed a number of pictorial watercolor maps of Hawaii for the Dole Pineapple Company and a variety of posters for United Airlines. 1950 Vintage Joseph Feher DOLE Map of HAWAII Framed Original Print Islands
Hello. And thanks for checking out the auction! This item is an original 1950s vintage Print of the Joseph Feher"Map of the Hawaiian Islands" Sponsored by Dole. The Dole Company commisioned this beautiful painting so that it could be reproduced and sold as a collectible map, with all kinds of interesting details about each of the islands and their recent history. This one is a little different than the maps that were sold as posters, however, because those came with numbers painted on various parts of the islands corresponding to a key on the right side of the print. This highlighted special areas and activities taking part on the islands(see Wikimedia Commons for copy of this print) This print is of the original map with none of those notations, just the pictures. This was a map that I could stare at for hours as a child and never ... moreget tired of it. From the Whaling Ships and Sperm Whales to the Moray Eels. Flying Fish, Outriggers and Surfers, it's a wonder to behold. I imagine that it has faded somewhat since it's over 60 years old, but the colors are still vibrant. The interior measures 27" x 18" with the original 1-3/4" frame. It was framed at the local Picture Frame place in our town back in 1950, and their sticker is still partially on the back with the alphanumeric Phone Number(HA 9- XXXX) showing. The paper backing has long since dried up and blew away, but the frame and print are in excellent condition. This is a great piece of history which still is something special to look at. This is a 1931 map of Hawaii. It is from a scarce Cram's Atlas. The map measures 11.25 X 15 inches. It is in near mint condition showing only minor handling. Buyer will get a printed out page size copy of the index page. This is superior to any"Certificate of Authenticity" which are normally printed out on the sellers own computer. We send this to prove map was extracted from this extremely rare atlas and to help with insurance appraisals as the map will surely increase in value. There are a few reasons this map is rare. And more difficult to obtain than a Cram's map of the late 1800's. In 1931 the United States and the World was in a catastrophic depression. Thus Cram's did not print as many, and very few people had the money to buy this atlas. Most surviving copies are the ones in Libraries and Universities. Vintage 1956 Hawaiian Map with Postage w/ Hula Girls Cover 1950's Hawaii
The piece is Copyright 1956(printed on the item) sold as is. its in bad condition. But i figured i'd give ebay a shot. i thought the 1950's Hula Girls were kinda cool if nothing else. its a fold out map and there's really only one of the 3 sections holding it together down the middle when opened up. there is one additional rip. there is ink writing on the back(when folded up w/ the Hula Girls on the cover) with a TO and FROM addresses along with postage stamps. post office stamp dates 1963. there is also ink writing on the map itself seen in the 5th picture(5th when including main photo) where someone had likely circled exactly where they were staying. please dont hesitate to ask any questions!

Size: The image area measures 8 1/2 by 10 3/4 ... moreinches(22x27cm) within the neat lines and the entire page measures 9 3/4 by 12(25x30cm) as seen in the pic. Condition: It is in Good condition for its ages. Printed on a light buff page, blank on the reverse with original handcoloring. It is basically as seen in the pics. There are some light handling around the edges and a slightly bumped corners, a little glue residue along the top edge with one short half inch margin tear and a mark in the top margin as seen in the pics, otherwise it is very clean with a strong impression and rich original color that would frame up very well, see the pics for more on condition. Printed on quality paper which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness printed on the back as well. Extracted from a scarce Dutch Atlas. In VG or better condition. Mostly clean and attractive, minor light surface age wear[note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws] The printed area remains visually pleasing. Original vintage 1930s Relief Map Of Oahu Hawaii Oahu Railway Schofield Barracks You are bidding on a Vintage Relief Map Of Oahu! This item is being sold by a private collector. This map is from the 1930s and shows the route of the Oahu Railway. It was distribute to soldiers stationed at Schofield Barracks encouraging them to use the railway to and from the Barracks and Honolulu. One side is a detailed map highlighted by the route of the railway and its relation to various Oahu landmarks such as Pearl Harbor. Diamond Head, amongst others. The reverse side is an advertisement for the railway with special train schedules and rates for military personnel. The map measures 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" The Oahu Railway and Land Company. Or OR&L, was a narrow gauge common carrier railroad that served much of the Hawaiian island of Oahu until its ... moredissolution in 1947. Schofield Barracks is a United States Army installation and census-designated place(CDP) located in the City and County of Honolulu and in the Wahiawa District of the American island of Oahu. Hawaii. Schofield Barracks lies adjacent to the town of Wahiawa. Separated from most of it by Lake Wilson(also known as Wahiawa Reservoir) Schofield Barracks is named after Lieutenant General John McAllister Schofield. Commanding General United States Army August 1888 to September 1895. He had been sent to Hawai i in 1872 and had recommended the establishment of a naval base at Pearl Harbor.
