On quality paper which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness. In Good+ or better condition. Overall mostly clean, archival tape repair on back center, light crease across sheet, paper is lightly uniformly age toned as typical with some light scattered staining but the image remains presentable and attractive[note: we grade very conservatively and always seek to disclose any noteworthy flaws] Text on verso as issued. The printed area remains visually pleasing. A nice impression of an interesting image. Any minor defects along the sheet edges and in the margins may be seen in the photo. Antique maps of Washington and Virginia from an atlas published in the late 19th Century. These US state maps are printed back to back. So only one can be displayed at a time. Framed, these make great wall decor for an office, den or just about any room in the house. Condition: Good. Lots of aging around the margins. Which just adds to the appeal of the old maps. The paper is fairly fragile, so map page will need to be protected from less than careful handling. Note: the page was just a bit too big for the scanner, so part of the margin areas is not shown. All in all I think the map is in very good condition. The paper is still supple not brittle. I am not sure about the coloring, if it was added later or it's original.
