Vintage Antique Utah UAT Ham Transmitter Untested
Up for bid. A vintage or antique Utah ham transmitter that is being sold for repair because it is untested. It looks to me like some handy person installed the Utah components in a new chassis and case or maybe this was some kind of kit. The front Utah nameplate reads Type UAT TR, Primary rating 25 watts, 115 volts, 60 cycles. The nameplate looks a lot older than the case to which it is attached. When plugged in it lights up and the tubes get warm. When I switch it to Send, it hums a bit more than in the Receive position presumably because it is drawing a lot more current. In the Send mode, the D.C. Milliamperes meter moves to about mid range and that position can be adjusted slightly with the Oscillator Tank control. The Antenna Tuning knob seems to have no affect. The tubes are Raytheon 6L6 and Raytheon 5Z4. I have not tried to measure ... morevoltage or current at those two white terminals on top. This is a nice old 1920's or earlier china souvenir plate that measures about 7 1/2" in diameter. This offers 3 early color scenes in Salt Lake City. Utah. The plate has a cream color background and decorated with gold around the outer area. This plate was made in Germany and marked Jonroth as shown on the backside. It has no chips or cracks. This tiny antique leather album is about the size of a postage stamp and contains a strip of miniature postcards with photos of scenic places in Utah. Each one is identified on the back. The album is brass bound and has a tiny metal clasp and is stamped"UTAH" in gold on the front. It has a little leather strap and I assume it was meant to hold keys. Wonderful Victorian era Salt Lake City State of Utah commemorative pen knife watch fob. A very unusual souvenir from the year Utah became a state and ceased to be a territory. It features the Territory of Utah Seal wrapped around the front. That became the original state seal. The fob measures 2 1/2" long unopened and 3 1/2" chain measures 3" The knife operated my pushing down the top and twisting it to open, then twisting to close it, still works great, sharp and clean! Antique Utah Loud Speaker 15"
Beautiful 1920s UTAH 15" loudspeaker. Very good condition- no dents. Breaks, original stand and wire set There is no way for me to test it. Shaking it( VEEEEEERY GENTLY) revealed no abnormal noises. Nothing is moving inside the speaker. Stand will need tightening of the screw. Most of the original finish is intact. Minor surface scratches. Even the original green protective cloth still there. Wires are in good condition. Most of the soft flexible cover is on and undamaged. Modern replacement would cost $ 25 + shipping. Grill is in good condition- no dents. Will take great care packing it. Antique Figural Inkwell UTAH Mining King, Blackhawk, Hiawatha, Panther Coal
Antique figural inkwell. Measures 4 inches high by about 2 3/4 inches square. Looks to be silver Oxiized. Great looking antique piece has alot of history to it. The mines that these refer to date back to the late 1800's in Carbon County Utah. In raised lettering on the front is United States Fuel Co. which dates it to the late teens if I remember it correctly from when they bought out all the mines. On the back is raised letters MINERS AND SHIPPERS. On the back is the makers mark of REHBERGER MFG.CO which is well known for his metal bank buildings in the early 1900's. Very unique piece perhaps one of a kind as there was not many people in the small mining town and the crevice of coal didn't last long. The spoon features a handle with a patriotic eagle and crossed flags with a shield. The shield has an image of a beehive with“Industry” and 1847 on it. Below is a banner with“Sept. 9 th” An image and the words“Eagle Crag Rock” is on the middle of the handle. The bowl of the spoon is gilded with“Salt Lake City” in fancy engraved script.
