Bradley's atlas was monumental in scale and very expensive when issued. Making their maps somewhat uncommon in the market today. Not to be confused with more common printed color maps of this era. Captures the United States in a charming miniature form. At a time of great transition and westward expansion. In the Utah Territory. The region around Salt Lake locating" Mormon Settle[ment]s" as seen in photo) A relatively early and one of a few maps to do so. Interesting to note that these Mormon settlements are among the very few seen between the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Coast.
