This one is pieced by hand in small, even& neat stitches and is an unusual size, 62" x 38" and perhaps the maker had in mind a throw, or for a child's bed, or for hanging or table topper or other decorative ideas. Border is in points and some of them need a little shaping up; top right of the quilt appears unfinished, and could use 2 more pieces added; there is also one fabric, in solid red, that hasn't held up well and you might or might not want to replace the 2 affected small pieces. This is a beautiful 1800's rod iron bed with bleeding hearts design(see photo#7) I purchased this full size bed years ago from an antiques dealer in Texas who painstaking restored it. Removing any and all rust and painting it a beautiful shade of black. The bed's minimalist design is very hard to find. Typically old iron beds are heavy and clunky however, this bed was made using thinner, yet strong cast iron. Iron rails to hold the head and footboard together(see photo# 8) Bed is in great condition for being nearly two centuries old. Local pick up preferred however. I will ship it. Up for consideration is an original vintage WORLD WAR I ARMY FELT PENNANT from 1917. Texas. Says Camp Travis and is white with individually sewn letters on blue. It has a white border with matching tassels. There is a large colorful Eagle on a patriotic shield which has been sewn on. History: This was originally named Camp Wilson. They changed the name to Camp Travis in 1917 when they formed the formation of the 90th Division. Then in 1922 Camp Travis was absorbed by Fort Sam Houston. Pennant is about 34" inches long by 13" inches wide. Colors are clean and strong. There is a small tear on the top edge of the tip. There is a very insignificant nail head sized stain on the letter"M" Otherwise near mint condition. Please ask all questions before purchasing.
