Image area is 13.25" wide x 10.75" high including decorative border. Interesting and detailed pre civil war county and railroad map. Shows chief cities. And county seats. Milledgeville is still the capital of Georgia. Beautifully executed. Attractive hand color, will frame nicely. Overall good condition with moderate ageing. There is some spotting in the lower margin. Large m ap of Alabama and Florida States are on opposite sides of atlas page. Original page measures 11" X 13-1/2" Most of the maps in this book do not show copyright dates. Colton and company. The earliest Johnson maps were published with D. General Description: 1. Strikingly interesting and highly detailed map. Original hand coloring. The map depicts in great detail all of the geographical information known at the time the map was published. Vintage 1948 Pure Oil Trip Map Alabama and Southeastern States
This map is in very good condition. Colors are also very good. This map does have some light stains around the edges and slight wear on the folds. It does have a slight musty smell from being stored away in a box for many years. The dark areas showing in the pictures is just a shadow from taking the pictures.
