Up for sale is a nice hand colored map published by C. B. Colton& Co. A colored map this is a one page map measuring approximately 15 by 17inches. Published 1856. Overall map is in fair condition. Some light browning around the edges. Quite a few rips along all of the edges. Particularly the right side. One larger rip about 2 inches long in the bottom left corner. Corners are slightly folded and torn off. Most rips and tears on this map do not extend beyond the boarder area into the map. Interesting and detailed county map. Shows chief cities and county seats. Extends from Louisiana to the Atlantic Ocean and from Tennessee to central Florida. Beautifully executed with attractive hand color will frame nicely. Overall average condition with moderate ageing. Centerfold is intact. Some typical toning and offset for an item of this age.
