Vintage TIN CAKE SAVER Wood Plate & Glass Knob carrier metal cover server Green
Vintage Cake Saver. Cover. Marked lightly on bottom of wood base plate and hard to read, I think it is"Empeco" also has quite a bit more hard to read writing. Tin/metal cover with glass knob. Base plate is made of wood(very unusual) Rare type. Hard to find. 13 inch diameter and 5 inches tall overall excluding the top knob. Wood base plate diameter is 13 inches. Metal cover is 12 inch diameter at bottom and slopes upward to 10 1/2 inch diameter on top. It weighs about 3 pounds. Color is a bit darker green than it appears in photos. I do not see any serious dents to the metal. There is some paint loss most notable on top with heavy wear to the paint around the glass knob. Has a nice floral stem and leaf pattern that was possibly hand painted. The wood base plate was made wood strips that were joined togeather. One of the joints in ... moreparticular is separating(see photo#7) but it is still sturdy and sound. I have made note of any breaks. Damages, or repairs that I see. This item is very old and cosmetic appearance is nowhere near perfect. Some age and wear as would be expected on an item this old. Still looks nice. See photos for cosmetic appearance. It is as found. All original and shows some vintage finish on the knob. The overall length is 3-1/4 inches with a 1-7/8 inch diameter x 1-3/4 inch long walnut knob. The latch is 2-1/2 inches long, 7/8 x 7/8 inch at the thick end and 1/4 of an inch at the long tapered end. The ½ inch diameter dowel is mortised into the latch and cut nailed. The stencil brush has a wooden handle and stiff bristles. The tin ink dip tray has two compartments and lump ink. There are no manufacturer marks on any of the pieces. The number set is not complete. Up for your consideration& bidding is a vintage/antique pressurizing pump for older lanterns. Lamps& stoves. I am unsure that this is a Coleman product as it appears to be unmarked. Has a wooden knob that is in super condition- looks as if it was very rarely used. The tip is also in great condition, the rod is not bent and the barrel has no dents. I applied a bit of oil on the leather& it is in working condition- air is expelling from the tip. That said it will more than likely require a new leather at some point in time. This is a NOS Les Leston gear shift knob with an Austin Healey emblem in the top. I bought out a parts collection a few years ago and ended up with a complete display box of NOS Les Leston knobs with MG and Austin Healey Logos on them. This is one of the few I have left. Les Leston was a period aftermarket parts company back in the day. Most well known for their wooden steering wheels. This would be a great period accessory for any Austin Healey. This knob has never been installed on a car before and is in really nice shape. The wood is in excellent condition and doesn't have any chips or other defects. And the same goes for the threaded aluminum boss on the underside. The enameled badge is in really nice shape, but as you can see, the display port on the top of the box did allow it to collect dust over its years in storage. As such it ... moreis not in perfect shape, but I think it would still qualify for almost any show car unless one was going for a Gold concours award. The box is in above average shape and obviously hasn't been exposed to any moisture. Vintage Lot 4 Matching School BS 8W PM Speakers Tuning Knob Wood W/ Fabric Grill
This is a lot of four matching BS 8W PM Speakers that came out of an old school that was being torn down. I have no idea if they work or what they were from so they are selling as untested and with no returns. The case is made of wood and the grills are covered with period fabric. They are 10" X 10" and the top is 3" deep and the bottom is 4" deep as they are built so the face is on an angle. I took a photo of the wires to give you a better idea of their capabilities and each has a turn knob. Not sure if it is a volume button or not. Two of them also have a jack of some type. This is an Eight Point Beveled Glass Mirror Wall Sconce. It has Eight Separate Pieces of Beveled Glass with Beautiful Light Reflection. It Holds a Single Candle. The Arm is the Stem of a Flower coming up into the Flower Itself which Holds the Candle. The Backing is Wood. I Believe the Metal is Brass. It is Signed Knock Creek.
