DIMENSIONS: Dimensions taken at furthest points) 51"H x 36W x 20"D ITEM DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful antique marble top washstand vanity. With ten gorgeous 3-D Art Nouveau back splash tiles. I do not know the exact age, but I believe the tiles and marble mostly date to around 1880-1910. This washstand comes in two separate pieces; 1)The marble top, wood and tile backsplash; 2) wood cabinet base that is supported by four nicely turned legs on original convenient casters. Naturally this piece has some minor imperfections but overall it is in very good cosmetic and structural condition; it is strong and sturdy. Not sure of the type of wood. But this spacious cabinet opens with two paneled doors. The doors are beautifully adorned with the original ornate bronze pulls that show a lovely patina. The cabinet finish may not be original. I have owned this for 30 years and never refinished it, I don't know what was done prior. The marble top is one solid beautiful piece. It is ¾" thick with straight edges. The veining color is in shades of browns. Burgundy and creams. It is the original marble top and is among the nicest to be seen. It is very heavy as it sits on top of the cabinet. The backsplash is attached to the marble with screws from underneath. But. The best thing about this is the gorgeous set of original Art Nouveau hand-made, hand-painted glazed tiles. The floral designs are raised and detailed with a 3-D look; these original tiles are in great condition, and the colors as well as the Art Nouveau design, complement the cabinet perfectly. The tiles show light crazing and only one shows a hairline crack. I have not removed any tiles to see if they are marked, but this piece is worth the price

England, around 1890-1900, this washstand remains in great condition today. The construction is extremely well done with hand cut dovetails in the drawers. The tiles in the backsplash complement the marble top very well and the mahogany wood contrasts both nicely. The drawers slide in and out easily and have ... moresome nice brass, plate back pulls. Each side of the piece has a nice, thick mahogany towel rail. There is a makers tag inside the cabinet door that reads Palmer Brothers, Great Yarmouth, House Furnishers. This washstand is in excellent condition with only a few light wear marks throughout. Overall this mahogany washstand would make a wonderful addition to any home! This washstand has two drawers and a cabinet for storage. There is a nice. Thick mahogany towel rail on either side of this washstand. The drawers are constructed with hand-cut dovetails. This is a very nice gold pier mirror that is in two sections. The top mirror part hangs on the wall and rests on the mable top base. Combined the piece measures approximatley 108 1/2" tall and 39 1/4" wide. The top mirror frame is 89 1/2" x 37" The mirror is 73 1/2" x 26 1/2" The mable is 39 1/4" x 14 1/2" and the base that it sits on is 38 1/2" wide x 17 3/4" deep. Antique Chinese Marble Stone Carved 6.5" Crouching TIGER Figure Sculpture Up for sale is a fantastic vintage hand carved stone sculpture of a crouching tiger. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its age but my guess is that it is Asian and likely Chinese and I believe it to be several decades old. It's 6.5" long. It has some mild surface wear but the only breaks is the tail. There is a piece missing as in photo#6 where it comes out of the back and would have curved to behing the left rear leg. It's nearly 2.5" at its tallest. He lines of the sculpture are dark-I believe it was once painted in those grooves. It's really a lovely piece. The cabinet is in very nice condition with a few small chips. This piece is 15 x 15 x 31H. The color is beautiful as shown in the pictures. The pull and decorative corner plaques are in very nice condition. This is a beautiful 1855 first edition example of Colton's map of Georgia. It covers the entire state as well as adjacent parts of Florida and Alabama. Like most of Colton's state maps. This map is largely derived from an earlier wall map of North America produced by Colton and D. Griffing Johnson. Colton identifies various cities, towns, forts, rivers, rapids, fords, and an assortment of additional topographical details. It is surrounded by Colton's typical spiral motif border. Dated and copyrighted to J. H. Colton, 1855. Published from Colton's 172 William Street Office in New York City. Victorian walnut dresser has white w/gray marble top; the original beveled mirror is accented with the traditional Eastlake Victorian geometric designs of bulls eyes and carved swags& tassels. The drawer fronts feature raised burled panels and original hardware. Original rollers w/caps not attached. But available. Measures 48.5" x 20.5" x 80" high. It has a three-quarter inch repaired indentation in the back left side of the marble that does not detract from the function or appearance. Items sold are available for in-store pick-up.
