Antique Vintage Hendryx Hanging Brass Victorian Bird Cage with MILK GLASS FEEDER
This is a wonderful old bird cage! I think it is made of brass and has a nice spring back door. It has spots for two feeders- I only have one- it is made of milk glass and marked Hendryx in raised letters. There are some wooden perches with it. It measures about 13 inches tall and about 12 inches in diameter across the bottom. There is a tray that comes out for cleaning. It has a sturdy spring for hanging. The actual bars are not discolored but as you can see in photos there is some on the base and top. Otherwise excellent condition. Antique Vintage Invalid Feeder Pap Boat
For sale is a white vintage porcelain invalid feeder/pap boat approximately 6 and 1/2 inches in length and 2 and 1/2 inches in width. This feeder is unmarked and is soft white in color. The feeder does have some small pin head black spots and a grayish pebble like area on the top/side of the handle(See photo) The spots are under the glaze. It's in great shape except for some fading of the gold paint. Antique Invalid Feeder Cup with Red Cross
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE Feeding devices go back to the ancient Romans. Etruscans, and Egyptians. In Victorian times. Wealthy families used them to nurse sick children, parents and grandparents at home. They bought an invalid feeder from the chemist's shop and used it to feed sick members of the family. This lovely feeding cup with a red cross was probably produced between 1860 and WWI with the intention of being used for injured soldiers. Large quantities were produced during WWI almost exclusively in England. But this one has a"Made in Germany" stamp, along with an impressed number 86 on the bottom. This cup is in good condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. There are remnants of gold trim which is largely worn away.

Antique Foot Shaped Invalid Feeder (Porcelain)
There isn't much I can say about this piece. Except that it is rare, and unusual indeed. This is a tiny feeder that is one of my favorites in the collection. It is in very nice condition and has been in our family for over 40 years. There is no manufacturer's mark on the bottom, unfortunately, but as the photos show, there are no chips, cracks or scratches. Read the description below.this could easily qualify as an unusual pap boat. I can't convey how much I've loved this piece over the years, and to be truthful, if it doesn't sell at this price, I probably won't relist it, and hold it for another 40 years. One quickly realizes that pap boats come in many strange and unusual shapes and sizes. One general theme. Though there are even exceptions to this, is that pap boats are around 4 inches in length, generally are ... morewithout a handle, and are often confused with small creamers or sauce boats. In fact a couple of the examples above I could easily find listed today somewhere on the web as being described as both a"pap boat" and a"sauce boat" if I really tried. One rule of thumb I have used in my determination is that"if" it could have been used as a pap boat and it is around 4 inches in length it might be a pap boat(or other type of feeder) Regarding the question what is"pap" I have seen many descriptions(recipes) and they all seem to have the same common elements. In its simpl ist form it was a mixture of bread. Flour and water. As one can imagine it often was somewhat lumpy so that is why most pap boats had open tops(or at a minimum somewhat larger than usual spout openings) so that the contents could move easily when being fed. There were also variations that involved adding milk and butter to the mixture(instead of water) and this was called"panada" I recall. Rare Antique Blue Flower Invalid Feeder
A rare find indeed! This is one of the more sentimental pieces in the collection. This is a half-top. Teacup style blue flower invalid/infant feeder that is in very nice condition, given its age. As the pictures evidence, there is a little wear to the gilding along the front and rear rims of the cup, and the handle, however, the bottoms of the spout and cup itself remain remarkably intact. I find the rarity of this feeder to be the four holes on the inside(see photos)you don't see this a lot. Although there are many different styles. This feeder is a gentle, blue, floral pattern, with no manufacturer's mark on the bottom. As evidenced by the photos, this cup is in very fine shape with no cracks, or chips. The gold trim around the top of the feeder is in immaculate condition. While there is slight wear to the rear top rim. The rest of the gold trim(gilding) on the cup is immaculate as well. As evidenced by thephotos, this cup is in very fine shape with no cracks, or chips. Manufactured in Germany, the bottom of the feeder is stamped"W.T. C" Unfortunately, I am not exactly certain what style of Blue Onion this is. Truly. The photos do not do this piece justice.it belongs in another good home for another 35 years, as it has been in mine. It measures 2 7/8" tall X 4 1/8" diameter + the spout and handle each extend about 1" The main areas and sides are in good condition and are shiny. The edges are chipped and rusty as you can see. Antique invalid feeder in blue onion pattern with gold trim. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There has been some fading of the gold trim. Bottom is stamped with either A.E.J. or A.E.I. There is a stamped drawing of an eye right above the letters. I haven't been able to find anything out about this mark and would appreciate any information anyone might have. Antique Regnas London Invalid Feeder--Gold Trim
This is a beautiful. Half-lid infirmary feeder, in immaculate condition, with a nice gold gilding around the top, handle and spout. This, like other pieces in the collection has been in the family for more than 35 years and has survived wonderfully. There are no chips or cracks on the feeder and all of the gilding is original and intact, as the photos will illustrate. The bottom of the piece is inscribed with"Regnas London" The manufacturer. Accordingly, I think it's safe to assume that the piece is English. Priced to sell, this old English infirmary feeder is sure to be a major conversation piece among your collection.

This crock measures 10 1/2" x 8 1/2" wide at the base The crock seems to be in very good condition. With some discoloration due to use and storage(see pix) There are small cracks at the base of the 2"feet" But not sure if that was originally there at time of manufacture"Red Wing Union Stoneware Red. Wing Minn" is stamped on the front Glaze is still shiny. I can find no other cracks or chips I'm not an expert by any means. Antique White Ironstone Porcelain Figural Bird Form Invalid Feeder Pap Boat
Up for auction is an antique bird form white ironstone porcelain pap boat or invalid feeder recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition, free of any cracks or chips. The only condition issue to discuss is staining and crazing under the glazing. It has an applied handle at the area that the tail would be. The side shows relief much in the manner of the bird's wings. The feeder would be the beak. This feeder measures approximately 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 3" in size. An unusual piece for ones collection or to be repurposed for any use. Rare Antique Red Wing Stoneware Chicken Waterer and Buttermilk feeder
Nice display piece certainly not a more commonly found red wing piece. Very highly desirable. Finding one of these in pristine condition is quite rare almost always found with a hairline or chips for what they were used for i'm sure the top was dropped on the bottom several time in its life. Lettering all still strong and easily read. Glaze is good over entire piece. Piece is approx. 7" in diam. and 10" tall, base is 1" tall at rim and 12" in diam. weights approx. 9 LBS. Piece will be safely packed. In the front there is a hairline crack(pictured) that runs from the bottom to the top end, On back there is a chip( pictured) and a hairline crack. Antique Stoneware Rabbit Bowl Feeder 1890 1910
These were used as rabbit feeders/Water the shape is a little different 2 1/4 high inside dia.on top is about 5 3/4" the bottom inside is about 6 1/2" a very slight cone shape.Normal crazing. In the last photo it appears there is a crack.That is the way these were made.The bowl was made in two pieces and put together before firing.I purchased several of these from an estate in southern PA. The family said there great grand parents raised rabbits during the rabbit boon 1890 to 1910. The Flemish Giant Rabbit was imported to America in the early 1890's. The Giant Flemish rabbit was imported to increase the size of rabbits for there meat. A great item
