$17.50 Shipping Location: Annapolis, United States Up for sale is a Vintage Soviet Russian Navy Submarine Clock Komandirskie CCCP USSR. This is a used clock from the Soviet Union era. This is an 8 day ... moreclock in very good condition. I have wound it up and it lasts 8 days until rewinding is necessary. This is 6" clock and weighs 6 Lbs. There is a small lever at the top of the clock that accesable by opening the lid with the key and I set it all way to the the right for a few days and the clock ran a few minutes faster after about fours of observing off and on. And then I reset it to the middle location and clock was running within seconds of the actual time. i do not know why this is there but it is probably some sort military setting for timing torpedoes or navigational applications. The black base that is mounted at the bottom is probably not the original way this clock was mounted, I mention this because my wife is from Ukraine and her father served in the Russian army during the Soviet Union era and he asked me to remove the base and there is three location hanging mounts on the back side and two of them are broken and suggested that some one had pulled it away from it's anchored location on the Submarine during the break up of the Soviet Union so he concluded it is a make shift base because it is made of plastic and the Russians did not use much of any plastic materials on Military equipment back then. This would be great addition for military collector and even a vintage clock collector. This item sells as is with no returns. This beautiful set measures 15 1/2" ... morewide x 3 1/2" deep x 9" tall. The base itself measures 14" x 3" and the glass covering both the clock and barometer measures a little over 3 1/2" The clock is fully wound and as are the bells and it is not running. The bells do not strike when the hands are moved, but there is some type of movement on the inside that I can hear when the hands are at the hour and half hour. Both of the glasses are taped into the covers of the clock and barometer. The interior hand for the barometer is missing. The thermometer is working bu there is a gap in the mercury in the glass tube. There is dulling to the finish that can me polished out to make this set really shine. On the top of the base is engraved"Harry, Best Wishes, Jack" This nice vintage Chelsea ships bells and barometer set is in need of a little TLC but definitely worthy of the work. This set weights approximately 14 1/5 pounds so shipping will be by UPS ground with insurance and tracking. I am adding a little to the packed weight to cover some of the insurance. Works well ... moreand keeps good time. It has the rare and useful sweep type second hand. The plain parallel hour and minute hands are usual for a practical working marine instrument. The face diameter is 150mm 6" And was refinished some years ago with roman numerals. The bevelled glass is in very good condition. The case mounting flange diameter is 193mm 7 5/8" and the depth of the case is 80mm 3 1/8" With four countersunk fixing holes. The original key has been lost, but a radiator bleed key works well for rewinding. The brass of the case is dull and has a nice patina, so I have not polished it in the event that this is wanted, but it would be easily cleaned and has no major stains or defects. The back of the case is still bright brass, with a lacquer finish. Collection in person welcome to save on postage cost along with cash payment.

I bought several sets of these bells from the Whitechapel foundry and have made all the clocks that I will ever make now. There are two sets of six machined tuned and tinned dome bells along with one hour bell.Seven bells in each set. The current price of the six tuned bells is 448 pounds and the hour bell is 65.90 pounds total 513.90 and I suppose VAT is added. I have made two bracket clocks.
