Antique (original) Instructions for using “SINGER SEWING MACHINE” No, 66-1
I was cleaning out an old house and made some remarkable discoveries. This is the first I'll be listing over a period of time. Dated June 6. 1913, this manual is in superb condition for being almost 100 years old(see the pictures) The 28 pages(plus both sides of the front and back covers) are not torn, dog eared or marked on and will be sent in a U.S.P.S. Priority Mail protected hard cover mailer with delivery confirmation to preserve it's condition. The only wear visible is on the left edge where the staples hold the pages together and is beginning to separate at the center crease from opening and turning the pages. If you have one of these treadle sewing machines, it's value probably doubles with this original manual. This Singer Sewing Machine Attachments Box contains 3 vintage or antique(I don't know enough about these to be sure of what year they are) Singer attachments(feet) One black metal attachment with no name on it, and one additional foot that has no markings and to me appears to be newer, but it was in the box so I'm including it just in case. There's also a felt circle.probably not significant, but again, it was included in the box. Antique Ornate Oak Treadle Singer Sewing Machine Center Middle Pull Out Drawer
This is an Antique Ornate Oak Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Center Drawer. This came from a 1910's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. The drawer face has ornate beads that run along the top and bottom. The face also has a evenly distributed wood grain. The face has a dark and slightly wrinkled antique finish. There are mild bumps. Dings and scratches. The lower right edge has a thin chip. Some of the beads are worn or chipped. The insides of the drawers is dark and discolored. The center drawer has a 21-1/2" x 2-1/2" face not including the outer horn-shaped pieces. Those measure 23-3/8" tip to tip. The assembly measures 10-3/4" at point"A" and 20-1/8" at point"B" Those are outer measurements. There are locking pins that drop in the tops of both rails that keeps the drawer from sliding out. This ... moredrawer slides into the dust cover below the machine on both sides of the dust cover. This is an Antique Tiger Oak Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Center Drawer. This came from a 1910's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. The drawer face has a very nice uniform tiger oak stripe across the front. The face was sprayed with satin laquer. There are mild bumps. Dings and scratches. The bottom edge has a small rough spot about 1/3 in from the right. About 1" of the left horn was reglued. A minor glue scar exists. The insides of the drawers is dark and discolored. The center drawer has a 21-1/2" x 2-1/2" face not including the outer horn-shaped pieces. Those measure 23-3/8" tip to tip. The assembly measures 10-3/4" at point"A" and 20-1/8" at point"B" Those are outer measurements. There are locking pins that drop in the tops of both rails that keeps the drawer from sliding out. This is an Antique Oak Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Center Drawer. This came from a late 1900's Singer Treadle Sewing Machine. The drawer face has a unique oak stripe pattern. Not quite tiger, but some form of cross grain cut. The front wood was stripped and spayed with satin laquer. Someone had originally painted it yellow and tan to make some form of antique white wash pattern. It was a total failure. Some of that residual paint exists on the backside and rails. There are some minor dings on the face. The horns have wear on the tips. The center drawer has a 21-1/2" x 2-1/2" face not including the outer horn-shaped pieces. Those measure 23-3/8" tip to tip. The assembly measures 10-3/4" at point"A" and 20-1/16" at point"B" Those are outer measurements. This is a Genuine Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Treadle Cord Guide. It fits frames from the 1880's and 1890's. Those frames have an arch across the center with NO Singer logo. The Singer logo is only located on the sides of the base. These are found with Singer models 15. 27 and VS2 that have a bonnet(coffin) to cover the machine head. The machine heads did not fold away into the cabinet. But were top mounted. This bolts to the rear right side of the frame above the flywheel. This is a stock photo. Singer ~ Flat Key for Antique Treadle Sewing Machine old Original red eye
Here is an original Singer Flat key. most Singers used a square ended key( i have one in another auction) but for a shorter amount of time they used this flat key so they are harder to find. the inside shape of the bow I'm told is used to set the needle. if you look in the keyhole of your machine& see a square shape you need a square key if you see a slot like the end of a flat screwdriver. This should work for you.there are a few trying to sell repos of these from stammped steel but I only sell originals. the originals have the beveled edge on the tip the repos do not. Up for your consideration is this rare Singer sewing machine made in Elizabeth. New Jersey, March 27, 1918. Only 100 were made. The serial number is G6129388 and it is a class 105-1. This is for the head only. The needle bar goes up and down when I turn the balance wheel. The front plate that covers the gears is missing and it needs a belt. It still has some old caked-on oil that I'm sure can be removed; you can see it in the photos in spots such as the brass 105-1 plate on the back. This was used to make harvesters' gloves. When the Singer 20 toy sewing machine was introduced in 1910 it was in a league of its own. Although the Singer 20 was of a simple chain stitch design requiring just 40 components. It was very well engineered with a cast iron body. Compared to other toy sewing machines of its era, and indeed since then until the present, it is far more like a miniature ... moreadult machine than a child’s toy. When other manufacturers wanted to enter the same market, many decided to do so with a close copy of the Singer 20. After the end of WW2 several U.K. companies such as Essex. Grain and Vulcan decided to produce toy sewing machines. The first machines from all of these makers very closely resemble the Singer 20. The Japanese made Lead(All Lead) machines were produced from 1931 until 1941. These seem to have been even closer replicas of the Singer 20. For collectors there are 4 main versions of the Singer 20 machines. The original Singer 20-1’s were first sold in 1910 with 4 spoke handwheels. In 1914 the second version had an 8 spoked handwheel and had tension discs added. Then in 1926 numbers were stamped onto the machine to indicate the threading path. I was told by the antique dealer I bought it from that this little machine was Singers answer to the popular Wilcox& Gibbs chain stitching machine. Rare Serviced Antique 1923 Singer 66-4 Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine WORKS
This is an Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Head. Model 66-4 with Red Eye decals. This is the rare side clamping foot. It uses common Singer low shank attachments. All other Red Eye's had rear clamping feet before the 66-4 was released in 1923. There is no exact date when this change occured. But I have had 66-4's from March or April 1923. The 66 remained a side clamping foot from this point on, but the Red Eye decals were stopped shortly after. Serial number G0281156 dates this machine to August 27. 1923. In December, 2012, I sold G0285208, small world! This machine has been properly cleaned and oiled. The timing was checked and it sews very well. Please see the picture of the stitch. I even took the bobbin case a part and cleaned it so it has smooth thread draw. It sewed 6 layers of denim with ease. The stitch is equal on both ... moresides. It includes the flywheel. Pitman arm and 1 mounting pivot screw. The flywheel measures 12-3/8" diameter. The pitman arm measures 12-1/4" from the top of the bearings to the bottom of the ball nut. If you cleaned and oiled these the wood will look 10 times better plus the camera flash makes them look worse. One side has some veneer chipped as you can see but a great set. They come with the original wood frame brackets. Use these on your machine or to store things in your home they look great and are very useful.

Description Antique Singer Sewing Machine Model 12. New Family Gilt and Mother of Pearl 1881 Fiddle Base Treadle What a gorgeous little Singer model#12. Born June 6th of 1881. It has all its mother of pearl inlay and most but not all of its guilt intact. What a great show piece. This is a working treadle with the original owner’s manual in delicate condition. A few needles,its boat shuttles, bobbin, and many attachments included. The hand wheel turns freely. The needle goes up and down smoothly. Both its boat shuttles are in good operating condition. It does make stitches. The base attachment hinges are present but not attached to their rivets. The drawers and lift extention are also in fantastic condition. Although not mint the treadle head is way above average for its 130+ years of age. The treadle cabinet is solid walnut(no veneer) It ... moreis intact. With no wormwood or other structural damage. There are only a few water marks a few edge dings, and a little darkening behind the machine from oiling and a couple other small mars. There is a water spot from someones glass as shown on both the coffin top and table top. The drawers and lift extention are also in wonderful condition. It displays well. The original rectangular coffin top also is in solid condition with only a small chip missing from the logo and on top rim. And a stain or two on top and a check in the top wood. The lock and lid hooks are present and intact. The treadle base still has much of the guilt showing on its emblems. It moves freely, and sports a wood pitman arm which functions well but is not perfect. This will make a great addition to any collection. 1923 antique singer sewing machine with attachments serial #G0541850
This auction is for an 1923 antique singer sewing machine with a case of attachments serial number G0541850. There are some signs of rust on the machine and around the handle. Overall not bad condition though considering its age. This machine was purchased new by an ancestor and has been in my family since. Antique Singer Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine Head Antique Singer Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine Head I found an old Singer treadle sewing machine in a barn sale. I've separated the head from the cabinet and treadle and am parting this out. It was in rough shape as you can tell by the picture. But I've cleaned everything up and taken all the decades of grime off of it. The head is surprisingly in very good condition with great graphics- but I haven't done anything with it mechanically since that is out of my league. Please check out my other auctions for all of the pieces parts that I will be listing from this unit. In this auction you are viewing the sewing head. The model number is GOO85634. I have not done anything to this machine other than remove some of the grime that had coated it. Amazingly enough the graphics were in ... morevery good condition with lots of color. The bobbin plate is missing. I was able to engage the movement by turning the wheel in the back. I would think this would need a thorough cleaning and oiling if you wanted to use it. Of course you could always part it out. But from what I see you only would need to clean and oil this and replace the plate to make this baby sing. There is a gob of white paint on the neck that I didn't want to mess with. It's latex and should come off easily, but I know that everyone cleans things differently and I don't want to mess with the original finish. INSURANCE: Since ebay has taken away the insurance option in the listing. It is up to you to decide if you wish it insured or not. Please indicate BEFORE PAYMENT so I can include it into your invoice. RETURNS: I only accept returns on items that may have been mistakenly misrepresented.
