Features some very unusual Aligator scales as shown. looks to be an 11/16" blade. Blade looks to be in very good condition, but should probably be sharpened before you try to use. Scales are in great shape as well. Comes in an E. Morris Mfg Co box, which is probably not the original.

Up for auction is my John Heiffor famous"Made For The Army" wedge straight razor in original black horn scales. There is a tiny bit of patina on the blade but no rust. She is shave ready and polished. I will steralize and oil before shipping. This razor was made sometime between 1847 and 1850 due to the"Paradise Square Sheffield" on the tange. You can see in the photos that this one was marked special by the Hartsteel craftsman who built the razor. As Horn is not an off the shelf option and is only a special order. This razor has seen a handful of shaves and before this auction I have had it freshly honed by Doc226.com and it is shave ready and a silent killer of any and all facial hair. This is a Custom Straight Razor made by Max Sprecher from Las Vegas. NV. The razor is a 1/4 Hollow 7/8 Spanish point. The razor sits snug and on center between the G10 Jade Ghost carbon fiber scales. I am the original owner of this razor and have only used it a few times. For auction is a W.H. Morley straight razor. This razor was produced in Germany. This is a hollow ground razor. The razor was washed. Sterilized, light high grit sanded, hand polished, pins and washers replaced, and honed to shave ready condition. This is a fully functional shaver, and shaves very well. Very sharp yet smooth. Not only is this razor a great shaver, but it is also a great collector piece. The cracked ice scales are in pristine condition. I will rehone this razor for $19.95 upon request. This razor will shave you for decades. Razor was honed on the Gokumyo 20k finishing hone. And stropped on.5 micron paste, resulting in shaving perfection. Blade width is 5/8++. A Beau Brummel"Wedge" Razor 5/8" wide with buffalo horn scales in a Frederick Reynolds coffin case. Included is an Illinois Razor Strop Co. 2 part strop. One is coarse cloth No. 49 and the other is a Russia shell No. 67 with a raised diamond pattern on the back which I embedded Red Dovo paste to keep the razor away from the hone as much as possible. A very nice set.

Fremont Ohio USA straight razor that is in spotlessly clean, nearly mint condition(very little used, if at all) and comes from one of the great USA razor makers. This razor is near mint. Shiny and bright with just a small area of cosmetic staining under the tang. The blade is a very fine full hollow grind. Measures 13/16 in. wide from edge to top of the spine and features a slightly curved round point thatis common to Clauss razors. The tang stampings are very deep and legible and there is also lower jimping which aids the grip while shaving. The pink resin scales are not the originals. But are in wonderful ... morecondition and very rare to see in this color. I can't remember the last time I have seen a set of pink scales. The blade is held firmly between the scales and closes nicely centered between them. This is very nice vintage razor(and rare in this condition) from one of the top makers and a smooth shaver that would make an excellent addition to a razor collection or user rotation. This razor is ready to shave and has had a new bevel set. Has been honed to a very high level and finished on one of my natural finishing hones. It has then been stropped on linen and leather and shave tested to ensure that it will give a smooth, comfortable shave. 11/16 "Silver Steel" straight razor w/ custom olivewood scales (Shave Ready)
The blade: 11/16"Silver Steel" hollow ground. The razor has a French point that may or may not be original. The temper is great and the point holds a keen edge. I have lightly sanded the blade and softened the moderate hone wear. Filled and drilled the pivot hole. There is a chunk out of the tang which looks like a common factory defect(see pics) Blade has been polished and is bright/near mirror. The edge is very sharp and ready to shave. The scales: Custom olivewood with opal and mother-of-pearl inlays. Opal and MOP were prepared and inlaid by me. The shapes were a bit experimental for me and the cavities have some rougher spots. But everything is filled in and flattened out and the whole piece looks great. The inlay is underneath several coats of polyurethane finish which has been sanded and polished. 5/8 Inch Straight Razor Colorful Scales Excelsior Shear Co. Restoration Needed
For sale is an Excelsior Shear Co. 5/8 inch straight razor in need of restoration. The blade is pitted and the tip is missing. The distance from the blade to the spacer is 1/16 inch so the blade has not been shortened. There is rust around the pivot pin. The pivot pin is loose so the blade can touch the scales when closing. The scales are a tri-color brown with a marble-effect. There are 2 small nicks along the inside edge of the scales. But no large chips or cracks. Putting the scales on another blade would make a beautiful razor. For shipping. I wrap each item in bubblewrap and ship in a cardboard box packed with peanuts. Free shipping to US addresses. Clauss Carved "Natural Material" Scales straight razor
This is an old pre-ban carved razor made of a natural material. I do not believe it is bone. This shoulder-less blade measures 5/8" wide and it looks to me as a half hollow grind. The hone wear is very light and even across the spine. There is no staining or pitting on the blade The printing on the tang worn but legible. The scales are really nice and have passed the hot pin test There are no crack or chips. The scale tips at the pivot end show some wear. There are 3 panels per side and each panel is anchored by 2 silver pins. There are no cracks at the pins or anywhere else. There is a fancy etching on the blade face. Any color has been polished off. This is a rare Halberd straight razor by F.A. Clauberg. New York. It is marked Made In Germany. The front of the blade is marked with the Halberd Trade Mark same as the silver inlay on the scales. It has stains on the blade but is smooth to touch. Pins are original and tight. I believe the Scales are Celluloid made to look like ivory. No chips or cracks in the blade but the scales have a chip on both sides as well as 4 grooves in the scales. This item is a true collector’s piece. This is a beautiful Joseph Rodgers- Cutlers to Her Majesties straight razor. The blade measures 6/8" wide and has a barbers notch. The grind is near wedge. The hone wear even across the spine. There is staining on both sides of the blade but very little pitting on the blade face! The printing on the tang completely legible. The blade has thick upper jimps upon a tapered tang. The scales are made from beautiful Mother of Pearl. There are 3 panels per side and each panel is anchored by 2 silver pins. There are no cracks and there is no discoloration to the pearl. The razor has a silver liner. The escutcheon plate. Panels, and pins are all tight and original. It really is a beautiful razor. WOSTENHOLM "IXL" STRAIGHT RAZOR -- THICK WEDGE BLADE -- HORN SCALES(?) WITH BOX
Up for auction is this vintage straight razor made by George Wostenholm& Son. At Washington Works, in Sheffield, England. It is marked"Celebrated IXL Razor. on the tang end of the blade shaft(plus maker's info) As you can probably already tell, I'm not well versed in the appropriate razor terminology, so please excuse my crude description. Overall length when open is about 9 3/4" and 6" when closed. The entire blade length, including tang( is about 5 7/16" The width of the blade is about 3/4" at its widest. The edged length is just about 2 3/4" The blade is wedge shaped and is very thick- almost 1/4" The blade has some faint pitting( and the is some rust showing on the edges near the pivot point. I believe the scales are made from horn, but not 100% sure. I don't think I pictured it, but ... moreone of the scales in bowed a bit where the far end of the blade contacts it. The end edges, at the same end, have a couple of small chips, and the other end has lost some material on a top edge of one scale.very shallow and just about the same shape as a fingernail. The blade fits a little loosely until it reaches a 90 degree angle, then it becomes snug, with nice tension. The cutting edge passed a"fingernail" test and is very smooth. The coffin shaped box appears to be appropriate for the razor, but again, I'm not sure. It has a many rubs, mostly on the edges, and the small end has"blown" out. M y pictures are always of the actual item(s) So please use them verify what it is being offered, as well as condition. Consider the pictures as a vital part of the description. It reads"Ern-new Shape" The information I have says the ERN company started in 1873. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, or chunks missing. The blade has staining and discoloration from age. Restored Roemer Straight Razor with Custom Blackwood Scales Straight Razor made by Roemer Cutlers of 75 St. Georges Street. Cape Town‘The Celebrated Sheffield Hollow Ground’ stamped on blade Blade Width 5/8” Blade length 3” Hollow ground. Round Point Mild Patina from aging. But no rust Mild hone wear at the toe of the spine Scales are custom made from the Blackwood(black monkey-thorn) With Rhodesian Teak wedge, and finished in high gloss polyacrathane. The pins and washers are new, and made of solid brass. While these scales will stand up to the occasional splash of water during use, they should be thoroughly dried before storage, as should the blade. This razor has been honed to a mirror-like edge. Up to a 12000grit waterstone. I have personally shave-tested it and am very happy with its performance. I have since sterilised it, and coated ... moreit in mineral oil to prevent rust. Note: Black Monkey Thorn is an indigenous South African Hardwood. Known as Swartapiesdoring in Afrikaans. Its botanical name is Acacia burkei. It has a this yellowish sapwood. And a golden to dark brown heartwood. It is relatively heavy, weighing approximately 910kg/m3 when air-dried. Please examine the pictures posted. As they form part of the description. George Wolstenholm PIPE Straight Razor - Custom Scales
For auction. Vintage 5/8+ George Wolstenholm Original PIPE Straight Razor. The estimated date on this razor is early 1900's. This razor saw little use, as there is very little spine wear. This is a shorty razor. My guess is that the tip of the blade was broke, and it was stored for decades with no use. The custom shorty scales are made from red acrylic. There was an"e" left from the word"the" on the blade, so the"e" was replaced with a barber notch. This is a very precise and easy to handle razor and would be very good shaving around mustaches and goatees. Truly a great historic piece capable of shaving for a lifetime, or great as a collectors item. Razor is truly shave ready and provides a fantastic shave. Lovely! Etched Blade Natural Scales WOSTENHOLM Straight Razor- Shave Ready Lovely! Etched Blade Natural Scales WOSTENHOLM Straight Razor- Shave Ready Up for offer today I have this antique very lightly restored. Shave ready and spotlessly clean inside and out fancy straight razor from George Wostenholm and Sons of Sheffiled England. This razor has been gone over with a fine tooth comb and cleaned to restore its original beauty. The blade is is around a quarter hollow grind that measures 5/8" wide from edge to the top of the spine. The blade looks beautiful and is etched with a matte silver color on both blade faces and dark black lettering on the front side. The blade looks great but does show some small stains or marks and a bit of hone wear as can be expected of a razor of it's age. The original rare scales are in great condition ... morewith a nice gloss and are held together with collarless nickel pins and have a lead wedge. There is a small hairline crack at the front side wedge pin. They look great with this blade and the blade is held tightly and centers well between them. This is choice antique razor from one of Sheffield's best makers and is a smooth shaver that would make an excellent addition to a razor collection or user rotation. This razor is ready to shave and has had a new bevel set. Has been further honed on a vintage coticule and finished on one of my natural finishing hones(Escher, La Lune Special Stone, Nakayama, Llyn Idwal, Charnley Forest, etc) It has then been stropped on linen and leather and shave tested to ensure that it will give a smooth, comfortable shave. Before shipping I disinfect all razors with Barbicide and give them a light coat of oil to prevent oxidation. Please inspect the photos closely and ask any questions that you may have. With tortoise-colored celluloid scales and a 5/8" wide blade that's etched and has a barber's notch. The blade is engraved. Waterville, Hollow Ground. The tang is marked. Waterville Cutlery. Waterville. Conn. Waterville Cutlery Co. was in business in Waterville. CT from 1865 to 1890. The blade shows evidence of hone wear. There are no nicks in the cutting edge. And it is free of any cracks. The blade has a 2 3/4 inch cutting edge and seems to be the original full length. The blade has surface rust and pits. The scales have no cracks, and they aren't warped.
