Antique 5 Arm Brass Hanging Ceiling Fixture for Use, Restoration or Parts
This is a vintage antique brass hanging ceiling fixture with five arms. There is an ornate bottom finial; a bell shaped ceiling cap that measures 5" in diameter at top and is 4 1/4" long; a 13 1/2" diameter pan; and five 12" inch chains. Of the five original ornate sconces. Three are left and two are missing. The sconces are 4" in diameter. Each light has a turn knob on/off switch, and they are marked P& S. Overall hanging length of the fixture is about 25" Magnet does not stick(except to chains) Appears to be original wiring but do not know how well that works. Antique Victorian Mahogany& Brass Banded Writing Slope Box for Restoration This is an antique writing slope in well figured Mahogany veneer inlaid with brass bands and with brass edgings to the top and front. I'd date it to between about 1840 and 1880. It has original brass plate in the lid and escutcheon- the lock is complete. Has a key, and it works. Inside the boards are lacking, but there are two inkwells( minus lids, but still with the remnants of blue and black ink) All the brass edgings and bandings are intact. It was a really good quality item- with some work it could be again. Or it is a fantastic source of spare veneers, lock, hinges etc. etc. to repair other similar boxes. Size: box is 12 x 9 x 4 1/2 inches(30 x 23 x 11.5 cm) Weight: 1419 grammes Condition: Faults are- one broken hinge( repairable if you can braze. Reclaimed Antique Brass Ceiling Fixture w/ 3 Figural Asian Men Needs Restoration
This is a fantastic estate find. I pulled this out of South Philadelphia. It was removed from a house over 100 years old. It was painted at one point and I know it is brass. But I think this would have had a greenish paint on it originally. The main part hangs on three chains to the center medallion and features what looks like three shouting Chinese men. Someone made a patch repair to one of the sockets, but I would rewire the entire thing. The paint would need to be stripped, but at that point, you could see how the brass polishes and repaint the antique green if you'd like. I have had this completely apart looking for a manufacturer and it is not labeled. We are buyers. Sellers and traders. We work in the Bucks County Pennsylvania area. This sconce is in very nice condition- two part with arm that hooks into back plate. Back plate measures approx. 10 1/2" tall by 5 1/4" at widest point. Total length from back plate including arm from wall is approx. 7 1/2" Arm is marked with VM Logo on end where it slides into hole. Fits well. But seems a tad loose so there is a bit of movement when touched. A spot of glue would hold it if you desire. These were all hand crafted- so not unusual for this to occur. Colonial Williamsburg marketed these products for many years and this one comes with original paperwork from CW. Also comes in VA Metalcrafters box. Scone is in excellent used condition- very shiney and bright. A few light scratches noted when held in direct light- but overall condition- excellent for used item. No candle residue noted in holder so appears to have never been used. Candle opening is approx 3/4" so holds regular sized taper. A must for any home- classic design- a best of all MADE IN THE USA! ORNATE BRASS ANTIQUE OIL KEROSENE STUDENT LAMP MILLER? FOR RESTORATION

Luckily the wire came out of the burner section and no other holes or alterations were made in the lamp. In the 5th row of photos you can see the slight separation in the ribbing at the bottom where the wire came out. Other minor problems are there is some solder at the top of the oil tank with some very minor metal fatigue at the top. There is a dent on the inside of the oil tank also shown in the 5th row of photos. Obviously the burner has also been altered. There are no other dents. Splits or damages on the lamp. The lamp is made of solid brass(except for the weight in the base) and would polish up beautifully if that was your desire. Although ... morewe cannot find any maker's mark we believe the lamp to be made by the Miller Lamp Company. It stands 21 1/2" tall, is 14 1/2" wide and weighs 8 1/2 pounds. The first thing that struct me about this piece is its wieght.It must go 7/8lbs I know it is solid oak but It should not be as heavy as it is.It does have a built in thermometer that is working the dial is good but needs a clean due to dirt getting into through the broken glass.Superb floral like brass& exotic wood inlays. HUGE ANTIQUE 1878 HOLY BIBLE LEATHER BRASS NEEDS RESTORATION AMERICAN PUBLISH CO
Offered for auction with a low starting bid and NO RESERVE. Is this wonderful Antique family Holy Bible dated 1873. Published by the American Publishing Company. It measures roughly 13" x 10" x 4" and weighs more than 13 pounds. Unfortunately, this bible is in need of restoration and for that reason, you are buying this as-is and returns will not be accepted on this item. Look carefully at my photos and feel free to ask me any questions. The binding of the book is a wonderful heavily embossed leather with gold embellishment. There are two brass or gold tone metal clasps. Both the front and back end boards have separated completely from the spine. The first several pages of the bible are worn and damaged with foxing and watermarks. Most of the interior pages are actually in good condition with some foxing and yellowing but not ... morebad. This bible contains hundreds of illustrations plus a dictionary, and interesting facts about the history and culture of the people and places mentioned in the Bible. It also has a few pages for family photographs(there are none unfortunately) and a page for recording Marriage. That was never filled out either. This bible is a fine example of a 19th century family heirloom and worthy of restoration or taken apart and used for parts. Good luck bidding!

Nice old Victorian Eastlake or Aesthetic design door bell. It is made of cast iron with a brass or bronze finish. The bell is marked Connell's Patent on the top. It measures 4-5/8" in diameter. 1-1/4" deep, and has a 3/8" diameter center hole. Obviously the bell is incomplete, but excellent antique condition, no cracks or repairs, nice patina and sounds great!
