Found as-is.Clock has been sitting in an old factory loft for 40 years or more and is very dusty and marked. Glass front is there in good condition. No chips or cracks. Brass rim around clock face and glass. Clock is mounted on a very art deco decorative wooden board. Two holes in front for key wind, no key with it unfortunately. I'm not an expert and I don't know if movement is complete so please see photos for a closer look at parts. ORIGINAL ART NOUVEAU THREE BRANCH BRASS CEILING LIGHT/CHANDELIER FOR RESTORATION This is an original solid brass three branch Art Nouveau ceiling light which we inherited when we moved into our property. It hadn't been used for years and as you can see needs quite a lot of cleaning& restoration to bring it back to it's former glory. The brass looks like it was originally gilded but is quite tarnished now. I think the light can be disassembled for cleaning which would make it a lot easier- the wiring obviously needs replacing but I believe you can now get modern vintage/antique style wiring similar to the original. One of the bulb holders has fallen off when I moved it but I will try to locate it before the auction ends although you may need to fit new ones that can be earthed. The fitting would need to be earthed and tested by ... morea competent person. There are no shades with it the bulb holders just fix on to the ends of the wire. The main fitting is approx. 17" high. The branches extend out 8" and measure approx. 16" across to the end of each branch. The hanging chain is 12" long and the wiring has the original ceramic wiring connectors still in place.There isn't any makers mark that I can see but there may well be somewhere under the tarnished surface The fitting weighs approx. 1.4kg Please have a good look at all the photos to satisfy yourself as to the age and condition. With dangling 2 1/4' fitters with set screws for glass shades, has the original porcelain interior fat boy turn key sockets. hasn't been tested due to bad wiring.but switches seem to work well.not stripped. this lamp needs to be rewired. wiring is not safe. Antique Cornet and Trumpet Brass Instrument for Parts or Restoration Horn
I purchased this brass trumpet from a man who said it was his dad's and he played for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I am only telling you this because I will always pass on the truth of what a person tells me so I'm sure it doesn't matter to you but that's what the man told me. Please let me describe what I see on this trumpet for you. Here we go… First. The finish is pretty rough as you can see in the pictures. The keys on the top of the trumpet are slow yet go up and down. The other adjusting thing adjusts fine and seems to be working. There are few dents around the trumpet that I photographed so please take note of the dents. Also, please look at the bottom photo of the trumpet it looks like there is a whole that needs a part to it that it could be missing. This is a collection of 4 vintage Brass Saxophones fore restore. These will need a good oiling and cleaning and necks. And mouth pieces(comes with two necks, no cases) This were found in a basement and have not been in use for years The valves appear to function ok, but not perfect(one valve is missing from one sax) Makers include La Monte, Camelot, and unsure of the other two.
