Item up for your consideration is an Antique Brass Oil Lantern. This Unique Brass Lantern is marked"Star" on the Wick adjustment Knob. There are several Patent Dates on the"Neck" of the Burner 2 of which are easy to read(Sept. 5. 1871, Sept. 27, 1881) and 2 others that are partially worn off. The Wick adjuster knob works well and there is a"Lever" beside the Burner that"Pushes" down(springs back) causing the"Center" pin in the Burner to go"Up and Down" We have not been able to find out much about this Ornate Brass Lantern other then the name"Star" embellished on the Wick Adjuster Knob. Amazing Antique Walnut & Brass Inlay Work Box / Vanity Box - Restoration Project
A super find here in the form of an Antique work box. In walnut with amazing brass? inlay& detailing. I originally thought the box was completely wooden, but recently, upon inspection, and a trial with the brasso notice that the box has 100s of metal inlaid pieces, brass I believe, and has super fine detailed engraving to the corners, a few of the individual brass pieces are missing, and the box is in worn/ tired condition and would make a fabulous restoration project. The metal inlay to the lid was totally black, so after an hour with the brasso, I have revealed a brass inlay that has the letters ER engraved, and what appears to me to be a pair of pillars. Vintage Brass Bulova Accutron 'Rope' Desk Clock (1967) restoration or parts
This Vintage(1967) Bulova Accutron clock is in very good condition. But only as for its appearance. I can find no bends, dents or scratches, but there are some tiny light flecks of dirt spots on the face and what appears to be on the inside of the glass. As you can see from the photos, they are not particularly apparent. There is a spot above the 1:00 where there is some loss to the shine of the brass finish, but it is neither pitted nor palpable(see final photo) The clock is not working. Even though I installed a new battery– it ran for a few minutes, then stopped. I don’t know if it can be fixed. It can certainly be used for parts. Vintage brass decorative gas or water valve rehab plumbing restoration
Neat old antique brass valve. Im not sure if it was meant for gas. Water neither or both. It is very nicely done but has some blackening where the hose attaches and traces of putty in areas. The threads appear to be fine. It measures 2 1/4" in length. The valve opens and closes freely but please do not use until tested.
