I have to start off by saying this might be one of the nicest. Well constructed, high quality pieces of furniture that I have come across. The actual designer of this piece is undetermined but John Widdicomb had some of the best designers of the era making furniture for the company such as T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings and George Nakashima. This item features wonderful sculpted feet. With 3 dovetailed drawers on the exterior and one small drawer on the inside for ample storage, and stunning bookmatched wood grain that is beautifully displayed at the joining of the top and sides of the dresser. This bookmatching technique takes a highly skilled craftsman to make the veneer from the top and sides appear to be one continuous piece. Even the back of this dresser is very well constructed as pictured. The high style original solid brass star hardware are the perfect accent to this remarkable piece of furniture. This item dates back to around the 1960's and is in excellent vintage condition with only light signs of normal wear including some minor dings and light surface scratches but nothing substantial or out of the ordinary. The dresser measures approximately 47"h x 40"w x 20"deep. I have added many pictures so you can get the best idea of its beauty and condition and supersize all pictures for some great closeup shots.
