But the finish was to bad" as was" So it hit our paint shop. I believe this to be from the 50's era. This is actually very nice, solid condition, still very functional, would look nice in many settings. It still shows signs of its age here and there, so as not to deceive anyone. Here's a fabulous vintage retro upcycled mid century modern dresser or buffet. Restyled by me. This is a Fashion Trend made by Johnson-Carper Furniture Co. This beauty has great lines and timeless design in walnut with veneers. Very Danish Modern with the bentwood drawer fronts and tapered legs. When I found this. The top and drawer fronts were too shabby to salvage- so I gave them a re-do in glossy bright white paint with a lightly pebbled texture. The rest of the dresser was cleaned inside& out and finished off with a coat of wax, which brings out the nice grain patterns. This is a solid and well made piece. The 9 drawers slide smoothly. It has a few dings and light scratches. Like most vintage furniture, but nothing too glaringly obvious. Part of bedroom set that we are working on and will most likely sell as separate pieces. UNLESS YOU tell us, you want it all! lol! So we chose lovely shade of white and highlighted the detailing with grey. We used Annie Sloan Chalk paint, waxed for a complete finish. The dresser is 53.5" length by 22" deep and 35.5" tall. There are 5 drawers. The top drawer is 46.5" length by 3.25" deep with a divider for separation of fine clothing articles. The remaining drawers are all 46.5" length by 4.5" deep. Again, we have the tall matching dresser but it's not painted yet. Original curvy French Provincial hardware, drawer pulls. Lovely solid wood, good condition.
