Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Wood Secretary Desk Dresser Vanity Chest Denmark?
Rare Retro Danish Teak Wood Writing Desk With a Lift up Vanity Mirror Section From a local estate sale is this wonderful Teak Wood Desk. It can be used as a writing desk or a make-up vanity. It has three small pull out drawers on the inside with the middle drawer having a lift up mirror and there are three larger drawers below the desk area. The inside of the desk also has a couple of cubby shelves. If you look below the second shelf you can see someone has cut a small hole to pass cords through. I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. All drawers slide easily and have no damage. The only damage to the dresser is a small piece of veener missing at the bottom. Small damage at the back of the top, and a faint ring on the top. Dresser measures 45 1/2" in length, 18" in width, and 48 3/4" in height. This piece is very solid and is not going to fall apart like most dressers made today. Six drawers with Atomic age bronze elliptical shaped handles with small pebble designs. Geometric relief sculpted pattern on two cabinet doors that open to three hidden pull out drawers. Nine drawers total providing plenty of storage space. Beautiful clean straight lines, with Kagan style chunky tapered legs braced by a straight spanner. Very heavy construction.
