This neat old bureau was picked from a Massachusetts home and is 100% ORIGINAL in every way. The finish is not mint. But the photos show its really nice although it does need cleaning and polish to look its best. The drawers are dovetailed and in good shape, the pulls are original and all present. The top has a few spots but most should clean up and polish out. This dresser was found in the attic and wasn't used much. It is very heavy and sturdy, has plank sides. I was given this chest of drawers in high school in 1956. It is solid wood and extremely sturdy. It is maple but in the 70s I stained the chest a darker color. The original color can be seen on the mirror and inside of the drawer. You could remove the stain if desired. There are no stains or defects. I remember it was a name brand like Ethan Allen. But I cannot find it on the chest. A gift of this chest of drawers would last another lifetime!
