Mid Century Danish Modern Teak Wood Secretary Desk Dresser Vanity Chest Denmark?
Rare Retro Danish Teak Wood Writing Desk With a Lift up Vanity Mirror Section From a local estate sale is this wonderful Teak Wood Desk. It can be used as a writing desk or a make-up vanity. It has three small pull out drawers on the inside with the middle drawer having a lift up mirror and there are three larger drawers below the desk area. The inside of the desk also has a couple of cubby shelves. If you look below the second shelf you can see someone has cut a small hole to pass cords through. I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. This is a danish modern mid century end side table that was designed by Henning Kjaernulf for Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik of Denmark. We purchased this at a house full of great modern furniture. They had some Dunbar. A few Eames chairs and some Paul McCobb. It is modular and breaks down nicely and will be taken apart to ship. It measures approximately 25" long x 17 1/2" wide x 20" tall. It has a Vejle Stole Mobelfabrik, Made in Denmark stamp on the underneath. It has wear appropriate to age and use and the top does have some staining as you can see in the pictures.
