All of the maps are clean, no foxing or marks of any kind. A few maps have minor closed tears in the margins and have been professionally repaired with archival tape.

Blackie's The Comprehensive Atlas and Geography of the World Very attractive page map from what has become one of the most collectible 19th century popluar atlases. Page size is approximately 11.75 by 14.75 inches(30 x 37.5 cm) Thus. P aper size is approximately 14.75 inches by 22.25 inches(37.5 x 56.5 cm) for double page maps.which have the original fold as issued) and 11.75 by 14.75 inches for the single page maps. Blackie's atlas maps are very collectible. And the large folio size makes them well suited to display. These maps are printed single sided, as was common with the higher end atalase of the era, and with nice margins. The maps from this book are very handsome, interesting, and perfect for framing. Condition: Very Good. Flaws and notes: some edgewear overall. Otherwise intact ... moreand clean and ready for display. Please see the image. The sheet was too large to get a good quality picture. So it is a little washed out and fuzzy. Please request detailed close up scans. More pictures or information if needed. Condition: Unless noted. Items I sell are in used condition. 1882 Blackie’s Atlas, SYRIA, PALESTINE & THE HAURAN, Antique Map
Two maps facing each other on a single sheet. Syria(North Division) Syria(South Division) including Palestine& the Hauran. Authentic maps taken from a dilapidated copy of The Comprehensive Atlas& Geography of the World by WG Blackie. 1882. They each measure 25cm x 34cm approx. Excluding margins. Vertical centrefold as published running between the maps. No printing on verso. Overall good condition. The map images are fresh and clean. The margins have some light toning and there are quite a few foxing spots on the edges. Verso clean. The sheet will be posted rolled in a new posting tube. First class postage is £3.00 plus £1.10 for the tube. I also now have to add on 45p for the ebay 10% commission on P&P cost.
