Overall, a very nice map that would frame up nicely. Size: The dimensions of the map area between the neat lines measures 13 1/2 by 19 1/2 inches(34x50cm) on a page measuring 15 1/2 by 22 1/2" 40x57cm) with a margin all around as seen in the main pic. Condition: The map is in Very Good condition with overall light tonal ageing printed on a heavy buff page. Blank on the reverse with a centerfold as issued. There is some light wear on the edges, otherwise it is very clean and would frame up well, see the pic for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map. This is an 1871 engraved map of Turkey in Asia. Persia, Arabia, Egypt and the Nile Countries. It measures 12.5 X 17 inches. Has nice circular inset of Paris. Published by T. Edward Zell. Philadelphia. Map was engraved by J. Bartholomew. For history of the famous Bartholomew maps, see last paragraph below. We are unable to find many of these maps in the major dealers sites. The ones we did find had prices of $200- $500 and up and were not in as good a condition as this map. Be my guest. Go look for yourself. Paper shows minor age spots.
