Matching Set of 6 Vintage Victorian Wooden Porch Columns
This is a very nice matching set of 6 Vintage Victorian Style Porch support columns. There are 4 main support columns and 2 close-out half columns which would be located at the end of the run. Dimensions are as follows: Overall length- 97 1/2 inches. The circumference at the top is 21 inches, the circumference at the bottom is 26 1/3 inches. Columns and matching trim items were removed as carefully as possible but as you can see some breakage has occurred. Thus some repair or reproduction work may be required. Description This is a beautiful pair that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They were originally part of a fireplace mantel. They are made of walnut and are currently painted. The top pieces can be removed and have fluted faces. The columns have carved capitals. They are tapered and have carvings at the base as well. The original plinths are in good shape. These are also removable. Your bid buys the pair. Each measures 46.75 inches tall overall. The columns only are 26.75. They are 5.25 inches wide and 5.25 inches deep a the base plinths. Overall. They are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning but will clean up nicely. Please look at the pictures carefully. The two in the pictures are both available, so the winning bidder can purchase one or both for 2x the winning bid. They haven't been cleaned, so please excuse the dirt and dust in the pictures. Since these were cut off below the acanthus leaf. I think they could be very useful to whomever purchases the identical full columns that I currently have listed(please see my other listings) Unlike the full columns, these still have the crown molding on the top. While they are also missing parts of the sides on top, you could use the dental pieces, acorns and other moldings to repair the full columns or make new pieces by using these to replicate the needed pieces. Nice antique cabinet set for a built in kitchen cabinet. This set consists of 5 51" doors. 5 drawers, and 5 21" doors. They all have scuff marks and scratches in the finish along with some paint splatter. One of the drawers has a crack that can be seen in the pictures below. Most of the original hardware in still attached and in good working order. On latch and one keeper or catch looks to have been replaced. Overall this set is in very good salvaged condition. Solid oak barley twist salvaged columns in very good estate condition. There is an area where paint has gotten on one column. It can be cleaned off with#0000 steel wool and wax. The columns are larger in the middle. There are normal scratches. Chips, and wear typically seen on an antique item, but nothing major. It consists of a multi turn newel post and two matching banister posts. They are in the original varnish finish and they came right off the staircase. In shiny condition, but you will definitely want to plug the holes where the rails went in it and finish off the sides. Also where the staircase it has been cut out and around, but everyone does their own adaptations. The newel post has an approximately 6 inch block. The size of the block on top of the newel post is 6 inches. The banisters have a 4 inch block and ball. The height is approximately 54 inches on the newel post and 52 inches on the banister post. You are getting all three for one money. I have seen these sell for all kinds of money from some of the higher price dealers, but we are reasonable on this sort of thing. VINTAGE PINE NEWEL POST w/ DOME TOP 40 1/2" HIGH
This is a vintage pine newel post with a domed top. Very nice grain in the wood. It measures aprox. 40 1/2" high x 5 3/4" square at the top, 3 3/4" square at the bottom, the notch on the bottom is 3 1/2" high. It has some wear, nicks and dings, there is a split or crack at the bottom on one side, we provided a close up to show this area. The notch at the bottom is a little rough as well which you can also see, you can always cut the bottom off square depending on your project. Please e-mail if you have any questions. Four Matched Antique Cast Steel Architectural STAIRCASE OR COLUMN TOPPERS Pediments Finials When an item is viewed 51 times and there are a handful of watchers but no bidders. Then it seems e-Bay Buyers are telling me they Need More Facts. So when the listing ended last night for the third time without a sale, I decided to solve the mystery, opened the box, and attacked one of the toppers with the paint stripper attachment on my drill. It went slowly through green, black, bronze to a final shiny steel metal. So I can now say with certainty that they are cast steel toppers. I adjusted the opening bid downward. These are from a 1911 southern home that was originally owned by the president of the local cotton mill. The house had a large front porch with columns and a wide front staircase that swept outward as it descended to the front yard. ... moreAnd these might have come from either the stair balustrades or the columns. I believe they may have been removed around 1960 when the then-new owners clad the wood trim and column tops on the upper level of the brick house with aluminum siding. The four were found by an electrical construction crew working in the house around 2006. The box weighs 24 pounds. And the dimensions are 5 x 8 x 16. The underside of the sink tapers inwards and features subtle curved lines and grooved detailing. The sink has two faucets with charming porcelain"Hot" and"Cold" knobs and comes with its original drain plug. The understated design of this beautiful sink would make it suitable for a variety of decorating styles. Two Beautiful Newel Posts!
These are two beautiful matching newel posts. I believe the carved tops are solid wood. The posts are the same height with the bottoms cut differently. After refinishing. These would make a very impressive addition to your home. The posts are in good condition with typical wear, nicks, scratches, nail holes and cracks. Each top has a crack from normal aging. The one post has three decorative medallions on the sides and the other has two. The posts are listed as pick up only, because I do not know what the shipping costs are. If you are interested in shipping I would be glad to find out the shipping costs. The price is for both posts.

Antique Crystal Acorn Newel Post Finial - Beautiful & Large, 8.5 " x 5"
This is a gorgeous antique solid crystal finial for a newel post. In the traditional acorn style. It is quite large at about 8.5" tall with base and 5" wide. The solid brass base is about 2" x 2" and is in excellent condition. The crystal has one very small chip near the top and some teeny scratches(hardly visible. There are also some small particles suspended inside the solid crystal. The finial weighs 10 pounds.

Up for auction is a beautiful Gothic newel post and handrail in Walnut. This has a great weathered look and would also be appropriate in a Garden. As the walnut should last many years. Post is in nice but weather condition with a small piece of walnut molding that makes up the Gothic arch missing as well as trim piece that is missing at the bottom. Post is 38" tall at the handrail, 45" tall at the newel finial attachment and 9" deep. Newel is 27" long. Which cost me $15.00, so please add $15.00 to the shipping cost. Wonderful salvaged antique wood fluted column! Top has a Corinthian Capital that has a couple missing pieces(please see pictures) I used the other three I have to add great architectural interest to a built-in shelving area I created(see last two pictures showing my project- not yet finished. 2 of these columns are just primed and the other has not yet been cleaned and primed. Large Antique Vintage Brass Walkway House Posts Columns Large Heavy See Pictures
Posts are about 40lbs each and 32 inches tall. The tops of the posts come out as shown in the pictures. One seems to be missing a pole attached to it. They are in overall good shape with no scratches or dings. I'm not sure of the exact age and couldn't find any markings on them. Striking antique walnut newel post dating from the late 1800's. The newel begins with sloping top and fluted details. Intricate rosettes ornament each side of the square post.
