Solid OAK Newel POSTS and STAIRCASE RAILING with Spindles =
For sale is a nice solid oak Railing and newel posts. The larger newel post is 51" tall and 8" square at the widest. The top to it is not original. A light was mounted there at one time. The electrical lines were still inside when I removed the post. Other than that it is in good shape needing cleaned and maybe refinished. Depending on your look. The railing is in great shape but one spindle does have a split in it. It is not broken but one does have a split. It is 110" long. The top newel post is 37"tall from floor to top. Then it has the extra length that would wrap down the side of the Stairs. It is only 5" square but the ball on top of it is original and can be used to replace the unoriginal one at the bottom. Handsome pair of antique newel posts crafted of solid oak and dating from approximately 1880. The square post body is topped with a simple domed newel post cap and features a unique silhouette that tapers in the center. Chamfered edges with reeded and grooved detailing compliment the top and the base. Unlike boxed newel posts that are hollow in the middle. These posts are solid all the way through. For sale is a group of five(5) red oak newel post that include the one pictured and four(4) identical pieces. They are 35" long plus about 1" for the round tenon. The square base is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Tapered fluted body. These were turned from laminated stock(3 pieces) and grain matches very well and they appear to be one solid piece. They have are natural color and have a clear lacquer or varnish finish. Can be used in some stairwork applications. Room dividers or be repurposed for table or chair legs, lamp, pepper mill or other lathe project. The actual weight is a bit over six(6) pounds each. Antique Tiger oak wood Balusters hand rails mortise newel posts large pieces old
I have some very nice pieces that I took out of one of my houses before it was demolished. I took all the parts for a staircase. Everything that you need except the steps. There are 2 Newel posts, the housed and open stringer(very thick) all the shaped, not square ballusters and all the handrails, even the trim that goes in between the ballusters. These all have white paint over them. But can easily be restored. I have restored many of my own items, and I know how beautiful these stairs will look. They would cost a fortune to find a solid piece of oak this large! I also have tons of door and window trim, and doors too. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more pictures and measurements. The pictures of the refinished stairs are not the items that I have. But look similar if they were restored. New INFO: Large Newel Post ... moreis 56.25" tall and 6" wide at base and 7.5" wide at top. The top has leaves carved into the oak. Look closely through the paint. Lots of detail and is in great shape. Smaller Newel Post is 38" tall and 4.75" wide. And is more of a basic design(came from the same staircase though) There are 22 angle shaped balusters spindles(for the stairs) 25" x 1 5/8. 22 flat end balusters spindles(for the top of stairs down the hallway) 26" x 1.75" Hand Rail is 136" long and is 2.5"x 5" Smaller Hand Rail is 8' long with 2 end pieces that are 6.25" long. Closed Skirt Stringer 99.5 x 8.25 x 7/8. Open Stringer 143" x 11.25 x 1. I also have a bad full of the trim pieces that go between the balusters. And some other trim pieces that came off of the stairs.

Victorian Oak Stair 4 Newel Posts Railing Balusters Architectural Salvage
This lot salvaged from an 1880's Brownstone includes fou r newel posts. Three railings 114" 100" and 80" long. There are 30 thirty inch tall spindles/balusters(stair railings) and 13 twenty six inch tall spindles/blausters(landing railing) I have included a photo where I easily scratched off the paint to show the natural color and grain. Which appears to be oak. Part of the lot was for the stair railing, the rest for the landing railing. I will also send 2 or 3 other spindles which were broken. Set of 2 Kirsch Unstained Solid Oak Wood Finials or Staircase Newel Posts
Here are a pair of unstained oak finials. Intended for a 2" 2.25" diameter wood drapery rod. However, we can see these as fitting the top of a staircase newel post or some craft project. These are approximately 5" long x 3.5" diameter(at the widest point) They have never been used and still have the plastic protective tube over the screw; however, we no longer have the original packaging. Craftsmanship is perfect and the two finials match each other exactly.
