Description This is a newel post that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of oak and was painted and stripped. The original finial is intact. The top has 2 carved panels on each of three sides. All are different. The shaft is fluted with beveled corners. It measures 57.25 inches tall and 57.25 inches square at the base and 6 at the shaft. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. There are a few chips and nicks. One of the base pieces may be a replacement. FRESH OUT OF AN ESTATE IS THIS BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SOLID BRONZE AND CAST IRON HEAD HITCHING POST. THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I GOT IT. WITH THE ORIGINAL PATINA AND OLD LEATHER BELT AND BELL. THE WHOLE POST WEIGHS JUST OVER 50 POUNDS. THE BRONZE HAS A NICE ORIGINAL PATINA, THE CAST IRON HORSE HEAD DOES SHOW SOME AGE. THE POST STANDS 38" INCHES TALL. I WISH I KNEW ABOUT THE HISTORY OF IT. Description This is a nice newel post that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. It is made of oak and was painted but has been stripped. The top of the post has carved flowers on three sides with nice Victorian details below. The shaft has Eastlake Spoon Carvings on three sides. There is a flower pot with vines and flowers. There is a cut out for the step at the bottom but is freestanding. The total measurements are 46.25 inches tall by 7.75 inches square at the base and 6 inches square at the shaft. Overall it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. It needs a final finish sanding and it needs a finial. Description This is a nice piece that was salvaged from a Pittsburgh Victorian Home. It has a great turned top and finial. The shaft is 8 sided with oblong recesses on each side and tapers from bottom to top. There is a square base with recesses matching the shaft. It is made of walnut with a very heavy dark stain. It is 45 inches tall and 7.5 inches square at the base. Overall. It is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning but will clean up nicely. Antique Crystal Acorn Newel Post Finial - Beautiful & Large, 8.5 " x 5"
This is a gorgeous antique solid crystal finial for a newel post. In the traditional acorn style. It is quite large at about 8.5" tall with base and 5" wide. The solid brass base is about 2" x 2" and is in excellent condition. The crystal has one very small chip near the top and some teeny scratches(hardly visible. There are also some small particles suspended inside the solid crystal. The finial weighs 10 pounds.

Four Antique Tapered Column Fragments Beautiful Quartersawn Oak Furniture Grade
Four quartersawn oak column fragments likely from a piece of furniture. Old finish has been removed. The first photo shows the beautiful wood grain because I wiped one down with alcohol. Veneer seems pretty solid. Two columns have base or cap. The bigger ones are 30" long. 3.75" bottom and 3.25" top. The other two are 14.75" tall, 3.5" bottom and 3.25" top.

Beautiful antique 2 piece newel post. I believe it is Cherry but I am not positive. Total height is 27.5" and width at the bottom is 7" Ornately carved leaf and scroll design. There is a chip in the top left edge that could be filled and repaired. I purchased this 15 plus years ago at a flea market outside of Chicago.
