Hi up for auction I have a raised corner garden planter or bed. Made from salvaged wood. We have two to pick from. I bought the plans online( they were $400.00) My partner and I made the planter boxes from recycled high school bleechers. All of the picket pieces were hand made from the bleechers. I have added a newel post at the back. The bottom of the planters are made from new wood. The planters are too large and heavy for me to sell at antique shows.The planters are very solid and sturdy. And the upper portion would have been anchored together with the lower one originally when mounted through a rod which comes out of the base. The rod sticks out just a bit so there is a slight wobble when standing. It would probably be mounted to a piece of wood which would eliminate that. Here is an old antique hitching post. It is wrought iron and heavy as all get out. It measures about 35" high alone. I threw in the metal horses head. But it does not fit and you'd have to attach it some how if you wanted it on there. It is from a lamp(mid century) and has a hole in the top as shown in the last photo. You are buying the hitching post. If you don't want the head then the shipping will be less but the price you bid is the price you bid with or without the head. The base is 8 sided and about 7" wide x 7" high. The hole in the top of the base is about 2 3/4" across. The hitching post is old and has wear for age and a few holes in the iron as shown.
