Antique Pair Oak Colums Posts Architectural Salvage Mantel
This is a beautiful pair of columns made of oak and in very good condition for its age. This came out of an older home in Sarasota. FL but, the owners brought them from New York back in the 50's. They told me they had been in their late 1800s home and they didn't want to part with them when they moved. Overall Measurements: 66" tall. 6" diameter on top, 8" diameter in bottom. Please review the last 3 pictures. There are some minor cracks in the wood as sown. Due to the size of the item. This is a local pick up or you can arrange your own freight/pickup. Victorian Fretwork Stair Candle Holder/Fern Stand
Rare and hard to find is this fantastic piece of oak Victorian fretwork. Candle holder/ fern stand. Could have been mounted at the end of the stairs with a candle or in the doorway between two rooms as a fern stand, either way, totally hard to find, and is in fantastic condition. Stands about 79 1/2 inches tall,I think at one time it was connected to apiece of ceiling fretwork, which still can be. The widest point at the candle holder is 16 inches wide, down below the holder it measures 13 1/2 the floor base is 14 inches wide the plate is about 7 inches round and last is the wood that holds it to the wall is a little over 1 1/4 wide. the fretwork stops at 52 inches up from the floor. Highly Carved Antique Victorian Oak Newel Post Cap in Original Condition
Here's a very ornately carved cap to an oak newel post which must have come from some impressive Victorian building. This would look stunning either built into a stairway of a Victorian home or as an interesting accent piece. There are a few chips. Bumps and nail holes and it is also quite dirty. But I'll leave any cleaning to the new owner. Although beautiful as is. The original quartersawn oak finish would certainly benefit from a little oil and wax to bring out the grain. It measures 21" tall by a maximum width of about 9 1/2" and weighs in at a hefty 17 pounds of solid oak. Shipping is $16 within the US only and pick up in person is free. Good luck!

Measuring 14 1/8 high this was originally a stair post in a now torn down Victorian house in Northern California. My consignor bought 18 and put nails in the top of most and used them for a big party in her yard as large candle holders. Some were painted. Some have lots of chips and all are the same shape. Vintage Cast Iron Jockey Fence Post Hitching Post
This wonderful jockey hitching post is 13" tall and 3 1/2" wide at the bottom. He weighs 13 lb. 11.8 oz. There is a round hole on the bottom that measures 1 7/8" inside diameter and 1 1/16" deep. With a single screw hole on the back. The paint is clearly original but as you can see from the photos there are lots of spots of rust. I got him at an antique shop a long time ago and he has been sitting in a box for many years. There are no markings that I can find. He has a green shirt and cap, white pants with red undertones, black boots, belt, collar, and hair. The area between his legs is faded blue in the front and black in the back, and the stand he is on is black/blue with a little green. His left cheekbone isn't smooth like the right one but I'm pretty sure that was original to the piece and not damage. These are marvelous old carved posts from Northern Afghanistan. Four of which I want to sell since it turns out there is no appropriate place for them in the home we are building. I have mounted two in the atrium of our home. One is on each side of a pair of antique Greek doors. There is a photo of one of these mounted posts on the right side of the doors. The four posts I have for sale range from 79” to 83” high and from 8” to 13” wide. Each post is carved from a single piece of wood and is very heavy. At least 100 pounds. Shavings from those we mounted have a wonderful aromatic cedar smell. There is no carving on the backs of the posts. Auction and minimum price is for one post. Vintage Cast Iron Carriage Horse Head Bust for Fence Post Cap Here is a great piece for your horse lovers out there. Would make a great addition to any collection. Recently picked the piece up at an auction This piece was made originally to set on a fence post as the head piece and it obviously did somewhere before I picked it up. Was rusty. But not too pitted from the exposure to the elements for some decades. Just gave it a good spraying with WD-40 to protect it from further corrosion. Nice detailing on the horse head. The horse is all harnessed up ready to take someone for a carriage ride. The cap the cast horse is attached to acts as a great base for the piece and has nice decorative detailing on it as well. The piece with the way the cap was made for the piece sits nicely on any flat surface. Does not need to be on a post. Just would ... moreneed to protect the surface it is sat on from the roughness of the cast iron. This is a very heavy piece. There is some sort of maker/model number on the back of the bust where it joins the base. Appears to be BO 160907. Only damage I see to it is a small piece of the cast iron hanging down from the yolk simulating a leather strap lost some of its' end. Chip to the front of the horse's right ear, and some minor chipping of the corners of the base. The cast iron horse head and base stands 17.75" tall. 5.25" across at the base, and 5.5" wide. The piece is about 6" wide when you take in the horse's snout extending further than the base. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. Pair Vtg Custom Wood Ionic Style Columns w Faux Marble Painted Finish 7' 6" tall
These columns were custom built for a pair of ornate antique plaster capitals. The capitals were 2 different heights. So the columns were made accordingly and they are 7'4" and 7'6" Both capitals were destroyed in a remodel but one of the columns still has a lip for the capital at the top which sticks out an additional 1 3/4" from the column. Each has a column base of 10 1/2" in diameter. The column base is about 3 1/2" high and then begins tapering up They have a diameter of 5 3/4" at the top. They are not fluted but smooth finished. They were made to look vintage not new. They have a sort of a marbleized painted finish in goldish beige. There are a couple surface only cracks and some wear. Tree ring marks also show- see photo. The columns have seams going up the sides. Because they were not made from ... morea solid log. These are for pick up in the Beverly Hills area on weekends only.
