OVER 100 yr. OLD LOT of PAINTED BALUSTERS I have several old antique items to sell at my folks old house that I thought would best be liquidated here on Ebay. These were taken off the house. The paint is slightly flaking if you buff it but is mostly adhering still. Loads of character and charm. Pieces are solid and not in a decaying or crumbly state at all. Paint has helped preserve this old wood even with long term exposure. There are only two posts with old cast iron porch flag tie down hooks on them as pictured close up. Each post is different and unique with typical wear that would be naturally indigenous to this period and stature. I forgot when taking pics but I will update the listing with measurements when I go back to my folks homestead soon to get them. The flat rate shipping is for Greyhound. Beautiful Antique Carved Reddish Brown Cherry Wood Newel Post
Beautiful antique 2 piece newel post. I believe it is Cherry but I am not positive. Total height is 27.5" and width at the bottom is 7" Ornately carved leaf and scroll design. Pair Primitive Painted Wood Architectural Columns White & Gold Decoration
Pair of Painted Wood Architectural Columns Old estate find. These are two short columns that were taken from a house and re-purposed as decorative wood pieces- would work great as candle holders by attaching a small metal disc to the top to hold a pillar candle. Nicely Painted with gold decorative detail. Both has a flat rough unpainted piece on the back where they were attached. And one has a large crack down the back(see picture) does not show on the front and does not affect structure. Antique Architectural Salvage Bead Board Tongue & Groove Siding Wainscot
Well. It's time to sell the house(1902 Victorian) so am cleaning out the place. Starting at the top and working down. Lots of old wood stored on the third and fourth floors and this is the first lot to go. Offered is a batch of 9/16 inch thick wainscoting. Beadboard, or beaded porch ceiling. The pieces are about 33 inches long and the coverage is 3 1/8 to 3 1/4 wide. There are 192 pieces total in the lot, for a linear coverage of about 50 feet at the 33 inch height. If you need more, I may come across more that is similar, but from another lot. This wood does not appear to have any finish on it. There is a very nice patina. And it could stand a mild scrubbing. There is some very light paint spattering, but I believe that it will clean off nicely with steel wool, might just scrub off. If you need. As you can easily see that these are not your typical commercial pedestals. They have a totally different look. Style and feel to them as well as the quality of marble/veins. This listing is for 1 of 2 available as you see from the pictures. These were made in 3 pieces(top-middle-bottom) but were epoxied together before we acquired them 30 years ago. I am not sure of their exact age. I could speculate on age but I am not going to because I try to keep everything to the facts in all of my listings and as many pictures as possible on items. Antique Victorian Fluted Columns with Base- Circa 1885 Fir Architectural Salvage. The overall dimensions are 63 1/2" x 10 3/4" And the column is 8" wide at the base and tapers to 7" wide at the top. T his front porch column was set between the masonry porch post bases and the porch beam. These were removed from the original wraparound porch from a late 19th century Victorian home in Quincy. IL. This column is absolutely beautiful and has a white painted finish with a beautiful aged patina and would look great anywhere! I love columns to add a touch of architectural interest to a room or to"age" a newer home. These are wood fluted columns with ornate capitals at the top that are not removable. The capitals have a nice ornate design. The columns weigh about 15 pounds each and each is about 46" tall. The column itself is fluted and is wood. It is gold that is chippy. Peely, crackly with paint loss and dirt with some white and dark red and bare wood on the backs for a time worn patina. PLEASE NOTE THE CONDITION OF THE COLUMNS. They are a little on the shabby side. There are some old cracks. As I show, but it appears ... moreto be solid. Where the cracks are, you cannot feel movement when you press together, so they are old cracks. This is a pair of salvaged miniature wooden columns featuring subtle fluting and stylized acanthus capitals. There are some nicks and scratches but the columns are sound and would provide ample support for your next creative wood project. Each is 8-1/4" x 1-1/2" This item came from a furniture and design company that went out of business in the 1990's. Some pieces were removed from furniture that was in disrepair other pieces were left over stock from architectural design projects. This item can be combined with others to save on shipping.

Antique Newel Post Figure Statue Spelter w/ Wood Base 16" T incl Banner The spelter metal newel post figure dates to early 1900s. It measures 12" to the top of the head and 16" to the top of the removable banner. The statue looks as if it has the original gilded patina. It has been repaired or painted a gloss on the top of the base and part of the top of the banner cross appears to be missing. Interesting shabby chic look that would look neat once again gracing a newel post or as a part of a collection of early English or American figures.

Antique Ornate Carved Wood Architectural Salvage Column Top Or Display Shelf
This is a beautiful antique ornate carved wood architectural salvage column top which can also be used as a display shelf. I'm fairly certain it dates from the late 19th century. 1880s or 1890s. It measures 7 7/8 inches tall(20 cm) Depending on which you call the top or the bottom. One measures 12 5/8 inches x 5 1/2 inches(32 cm x 14 cm) and the other measures 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/4 inches(21.6 cm x 8.3 cm) Given its many fleur de lis and the way it was made. I believe it's French. There are no nails, only glue, wood pegs and splining. There is a 1 inch(2.54 cm) x 1/4 inch(63 cm) chipped off piece of wood in the center a few inches from the top(or bottom) One of the large pieces of carving in the corner has a scrape to the front(please see photo) Other than this. There are a few dents, nicks, chips, scratches, scuff marks and age-related ... morecracks. But overall, it's a great looking piece and is very sturdy. I took most of the photographs with the large part on the bottom. But it can be used either way. It weighs 3 pounds 7 1/2 ounces(1.57 kg)

CAST BRONZE STAR AND CRESCENT FLAGPOLE FINIAL
This flagpole finial is 9 1/2" high with a 3/4" opening in the bottom for placing onto the pole. I'm not sure of the meaning or significance of the star and crescent. The top has raised bulls eyes on 3 sides. The shaft is fluted with beveled edges and recessed bulls eyes in the middle. It is notched for the step but is not freestanding. It measures 53.75 inches tall. Is 8 inches square at the base and 6 inches square at the shaft. Overall it is in good co ndition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. Antique Victorian Era Cast-Iron Gas Lamp Post/ light pole L@@K
This is a cast iron light pole or lamp post from the beginning of the 20th century. They are made of decorative cast iron. And came from Bienville Square, Alabama in the mid-1980's. The park at that time was updated, and a lot of there ornamental iron and cast iron was replaced with new. I just purchased a lot of what was removed then. I was first installed in Bienville Square in 1905. This pole, I've been told, was originally gas. It has since been converted to electric. It would have to be all rewired, because even the rewiring looks to be old. It just has some surface rust on it, but nothing structurally. The measurements are as follows: The pole measures 9' 5" tall. The decorative part at the top measures 19" high. The base is 16" and the top measures 13" I have 3 of these that are in great condition. Just ... morelike this one, then I have two more that need a little help. Like some welding, and things of that nature. If you're interested in others just let me know, and maybe we can work something out. I'm listing this as a pick up only. Newer Wood Staircase Newel Post Column Unused Turned Bare Wood Repurposing This tall wood column/newel post is in bare wood. Unfinished condition. I have no idea of it's age but it doesn't appear to be old to me. It stands 59 5/8' high and is 4 3/8' across the base. Weighs about 18 lbs. It has some minor chips, mainly on the bottom. A slight crack at the top. Not perfect like new, but almost. It doesn't stand perfectly level, the bottom is slightly off but my floors are way off in this 100+ years old house. Great for it's original use for a staircase or for repurposing into a hat/coat rack or something else. Just use your imagination!
