Trunk, 32"x19"x16", Wood with Metal Trim, Golden Studs and Brass Hardware
This beautiful trunk is made from thick plywood and is very heavy. About 40 pounds. It has numerous brass tacks on the surface and along the metal strips, and hinges which have been painted gold. The interior has also been painted- beige. There is an insert(not the original) available to the buyer if he/she wants it(if not, I'll lower the cost of shipping a tad) See the photos- it is obvious that it is too small for this large trunk. The lid opens and closes easily and remains open, in spite of evidence on the right side that a hinge may be missing. The brass clamps in the front work fine to keep it securely closed. There is no lock. The leather straps on the sides are in good condition, useful, and give authenticity to its antique status. Quite a unique trunk with a few quirks.

Large ANTIQUE Old HEAVY DUTY Vtg TRUNK ~ Possibly MILITARY? Description Vintage/antique VERY HEAVY DUTY TRUNK. It appears to have been custom made for a specific purpose. It might be military? All solid wood constructed with metal bands on all edges. Sides, and corners as pictured. It is superbly constructed by a company or skilled craftsman. All the protective metal bands are fastened with countersunk/flush wood screws at either 2" or 2-1/2" apart. The heavy duty hinges for the cover are flush on the inside cover. The end handles are heavy weight cast iron. The trunk is in excellent original condition. It has two cleats/feet on the bottom to keep the main part of the trunk up off the ground. About 45.75" x 16" x 12-1/2" high. About 65 pounds according to my scale. Pick-up only. Unless you arrange your shipping arrangements ... morewith your shipper. I am willing to work with you on this. Solid wood and metal. Very heavy antique Steamer truck w rollers. Trunk was found in the early 1900's in an old lake front cottage in upstate NY. It is estimated to be from the early to mid 1800's. Possibly older. Trunk is 100% original and has had nothing replaced. Handles are both missing but rest of trunk appears to be intact. Was offered $50 for the metal hinges and decor but I would rather sell it whole in hopes that the right person will renovate the trunk and allow it to live on. The name on the top of the trunk captain Joe Rogers was a test pilot in 1950 s early 60s he lived in the town of Worthington OHIO. Captain Rogers was highly decorated. Antique coffee table/ mini chest
This is a very unique item that serves the function of a coffee table. Nightstand or storage for personal items. The dimensions for this item if viewed from the third picture which is the one looking down at the item spans from 27 inches from point to point of the diamond and 23 inches wide across. The height is shy of two feet and weighs a little under twenty pounds. I do have this item set for pick up only but am willing to work with the buyer if it has to shipped.

Selling this antique blanket chest. Appears to be handmade with typical style hand cut dovetailed corners. It has had the hinges replaced. Bottom has had tin reinforcement added. Top half of latch is missing. Cleats are present but no insert is included. Unique wood prop for the lid is attached. Brass on corners of lid. Steel wheels- I'm not sure if they are original. Has aged fairly well and is still a solid sturdy piece. Finish shows some wear. VINTAGE ANTIQUE ROUND RED LUGGAGE SUITCASE HEMISPHERE MACY'S ORIGINAL TRAVELERS
This gorgeous older suitcase is approximately 17" to 18" in diameter and approximately 7" deep- it has a pale pink lining I have not tried to clean because I didn't want to ruin it. Please see photos there are a couple areas that should be spot cleaned. The suitcase shows some wear but is still completely functional and beautiful- it has the two original keys. The brass lock has some kind of stamp maybe a makers mark. I can't tell what it says. The lock has a key that works. On top the leather handle is broken but can be fixed. Offered is a great Vintage Handcrafted Solid Walnut 6 Board Primitive Mortise and Tenon Corners Blanket Chest with Till and Turned Legs. This piece is a wonderful example of handcrafted woodworking form the past. It's age is unknown but it is older. I have included as many pictures as possible although I do have several more that I can/will send if you are interested. I will also be happy to take and send pictures of any portion of the chest you might wish to see more closely or in more detail. The finish appears to be original and it displays a wonderful patina. For your consideration is this truly unique folk art decorated wood Carpenter Tool Chest. It has many carvings including 3 initials" MFA" on the raised top. The sides and front have carved diamond shapes and crude faux wood graining. There are several layers of old original paint giving this trunk its great patina. The chest measures 38 inches wide by 19 inches deep by 18 1/2 inches high. There are several metal parts in the lid which were used to hold tools. Nice small Japanese hand Planed Chest / Altar with 3 drawers above two doors
A very nice small oriental cabinet. Altar, chest made of softwood(pine? with pieces of figured hard wood(elm? on the front. The surfaces are hand planed and pegged. This piece is on nicely carved legs supporting a cabinet with three pegged drawers on top above two doors with butterfly like hinges(note 1 drop is missing from the left drawer-see photo) Top has scrolled ends. Front joints reinforced with original metal fittings. This pieces functions well on a table, on the floor, or in a special niche, It measures 24 1/2 inches high by 34 1/2 inches long by 12 inches deep. Left side and back have an age split. Otherwise the piece is structurally sound and usable. Although I try to describe all items as accurately as possible- please ask all questions before bidding

Antique Hand Peg & Dovetail Japanese TANSU with cherry collection showcase top
This is a nice small and very useful chest with two drawers with a showcase tray on top suitable for use with a sofa to display a collection. It is meticulously made with antique Japanese joinery methods. The sides are made of several pieces(some of which have split over the years) that are hand dovetailed and secured with pegs. There is nicely made original iron hardware on the sides. As well as handles and locks(I do not have the key) Every part of the chest is nicely hand planed. The piece is beautifully made, but is made of thin wood in a traditional Japanese manner. The drawers work well for storing textiles and other light weight items, but are not designed for heavy storage. The top showcase is a modern addition made from cherry fitted to allow for about 1 inch of display space on the original top. The corners are nicely mitered and ... morethe glass panels are held in with 1 inch strips for added support. The glass panels have an antique look with random whitish discoloration to enhance the items being displayed and complement the original worn wood surface of the chest top. The piece is in a soft old oiled surface with dents, surface scratches and small dings from age. There is a small 3 inch by 1/4 inch chip where the back joins the left side. The back has been reinforced with two strips of cherry to match the top. The original Japanese joinery does not seem to have used glue to secure the pieces to one another, but relies upon dovetails and pegs. The side pieces are free to expand and contract with the weather and thus appear loose, but in reality securely joined together- a feature which is a little disconcerting at first when compared to Western furniture. The piece is small. Convenient, and useful size 20 3/4 inches high- 36 3/4 inches long and 16 1/2 inches deep- perfect for a small space or special niche.
