Antique primitive tool chest with metal stand- folk art paint
This is a nice old tool chest with metal stand. It looks like it was painted with blue/ grey milk paint but don't think it would have been old enough for that. This has a holder in the top lid for a hand saw. There are two small drawers but they are hard to show in the photo. Somebody broke into this chest at some time because they lost the key. The original lockstep is in the drawer and could be reinstalled if you get a key that fits. Otherwise you can order a new lock set from one of the reproduction wood working supply companies. This chest measures 35 1/2" long by 16 1/2" wide by 15" tall. When you set it on the metal stand it measures 27" tall. This is a nice example of a primitive chest and displays nicely inside. This is a handsome antique WOOD TOOL CHEST. Hand made with brass corners& in fine detail. Chest measures 22"W x 12 1/2"H x 16"D. Interior dimensions are 20 1/4"W x 10 3/4"H x 14"D. Removable shelf. Made of old biscuit box. Interior of shelf shows great graphics of disassembled biscuit box. Shelf measures 20 3/8"W x 5 1/8"H x 6 3/4"D. Handles are made of metal. Wonderful bone-surround keyhole. Primitive Antique Large Wood Blanket Chest Handmade Rustic Dovetail Trunk
Selling this antique blanket chest. Appears to be handmade with typical style hand cut dovetailed corners. It has had the hinges replaced. Bottom has had tin reinforcement added. Top half of latch is missing. Cleats are present but no insert is included. Unique wood prop for the lid is attached. Brass on corners of lid. Steel wheels- I'm not sure if they are original. Has aged fairly well and is still a solid sturdy piece. Finish shows some wear. Boards have some cracking, etc. All items/conditions mentioned are shown in photos- please have a thorough look and ask any questions. Measures about 50" wide, 25" deep, 29 1/2" tall. Primitive Antique Folk Art Decorated WOOD CARPENTER CHEST TRUNK BOX
For your consideration is this truly unique folk art decorated wood Carpenter Tool Chest. It has many carvings including 3 initials" MFA" on the raised top. The sides and front have carved diamond shapes and crude faux wood graining. There are several layers of old original paint giving this trunk its great patina. The chest measures 38 inches wide by 19 inches deep by 18 1/2 inches high. There are several metal parts in the lid which were used to hold tools. Wear is as expected from a piece of its use and age and is still structurally sound. This chest is truly a piece of Americana. Please refer to the photos to judge condition for yourself.
