I received the chest in the early-to-mid 70s and had it professionally refinished with a walnut stain in 1979. 1950's Vintage Cedar Lined Hope Chest Locker Copper Bindings Accents
Nice vintage cedar lined wood hope chest/foot locker. Has interesting copper bindings/accents. My dad owned this for many years. He used it as a coffee table. I remember it from at least the 70's as a kid. Was used for vhs storage to give you an idea of how long it's been in the family! Has the usual patina. I didn't clean it. Just wiped it down.
