The grain and finished patina is absolutely beautiful and is truly unique(some refer to it as white walnut) These qualities make any butternut woodwork architectural salvage a truly one of a kind piece! Contains white steel cabinets with ribbed glass fronts(some of the ribbed glass is missing) and inside lights, curved corners, cuphangers and two lazy-susans. The red countertops are unblemished with wide, chrome trim-edges. The kitchen has been kept in surprisingly good condition. The cabinets are metal with deco handles. Nach einem Besitzerwechsel(das Bad wurde Eigentum der"Dianabad-Actien-Unternehmung" wurde das alte Dianabad abgerissen und 1913-1917 nach den Plänen des Architekten Peter Paul Brang, der in einem Architektenwettbewerb ermittelt worden war, durch eine luxuriöse, fünfstöckige Anlage ersetzt. Brang hatte bereits um 1900 im Wien des Nordens(Reichenberg) ein nach Kaiser Franz Joseph I. benanntes Stadtbad projektiert. Dieses zweite Dianabad besaß zwei Schwimmhallen(für Männer mit Sportbecken, für Frauen mit Wellenbad) Dampf- und Wannenbäder, Sonnenbäder und ein Hotel. Angeboten wurden aber ... moreauch eine Kuranstalt, Geschäfte, Frisiersalon, Fußpflege, Restaurant, Kleiderreinigung, ein Hundebad mit Tierarzt sowie weitere Attraktionen. Der Badbesuch wurde in drei Klassen mit entsprechend abgestuftem Komfort und Preisen angeboten. Da man den damaligen Sitten entsprechend die Geschlechtertrennung beibehielt, musste das gesamte Bad praktisch doppelt gebaut werden. Die Eröffnung fand am 15. August 1917 im schon drei Jahre dauernden Krieg statt. Peter Paul Brang(1852-1925) was a Viennese architect who worked in what are today the Czech Republic and Slovenia, as well as in Bulgaria and Romania. Antique solid bricks 350, many with brick flaws, very unique, Mazon Ill. P/U
Approximately 350 antique used bricks. Bricks came from location of old brick and tile yard in Mazon. Illinois. Many manufacturing flaws including sugar loafing, lime inclusions, overfire, and some defects from being in the ground. Some are fire brick. These are not pavers, they were architectural brick, but not good enough to be on the outside of walls due to their irregularities. Sizes very dramatically from 4 1/2" X 9 1/4" X 2 1/2" to 3 5/8" X 7 1/2" X 2 1/4" Most are approximately 3 3/4" X 8" X 2 3/8" Some have lost 1 or more faces. Many are only chipped or have a corner knocked off. Color varies dramatically too. Including some deep brown, tan(fire brick) tan faced red, red, and some pink. Some have mortar still attached but most do not. Bricks have been sprayed. Scrubbed with a brush, and ... moresprayed again. They are as clean as that makes them. Some large sized explosion proof lights. These came out of a former GDP factory, probably munitions, and a striking pieces. The pictures(shot in good sunlight) have unfortunately highlighted the surface rust on the cage, it is very superficial when you see it. I will make sure to clean them up a bit more before sending out. These lights have a Honex glass, almost indestructible it's thick, strong and the glass has no chips or marks of note. The catch to release the glass is a bit tricky, and once done you have to undo the screw on the opposite side ... moreto access inside. Some have different writing inside, to coin a phrase"it's all German to me" some say explosion proof or similar some do not, they all are I am sure. Inside the large lamp holder does in fact take a standard size E27 screw in bulb, the connecting points are in excellent order, near new. According to the plate they take up to 100 Watt bulbs, I know if I kept one I would stick a large round long life bulb in there for a really funky look. The outlet lugs vary, some are covered some not, the opposite ones have 2 different types as well. I do my best to match items when people buy quantities but each light is rather unique. Please note these lights are not suitable for wet area's(bathrooms) or heavily exposed outdoor area's. The seals are good. But these lights are not rated for wet area's. I would say these are best suited to covered area's or dry indoor use as this is safest and will best prolong their life. The mounting plates have a single fixing making the light sit away from the wall. You could modify this be removing and creating recesses into the wall for a flush fit quite easily using the right sized drill bit. If you want more

Here is a fascinating antique or vintage glass block which was salvaged from somewhere. This is about 7 3/4 inches squared with depth of about 3 7/8 inches. You can see that this has some cement or adhesive or something on the some of the sides. I did gently scrub this is the kitchen sink more to get the dust off. But I would think someone could figure out how to clean this up better if they want. Just for giggles, I will tell you that this did float in the sink so this is apparently sealed up. Maybe someone has a place for this or an arts or crafts person can be creative. I guess I have seen people turn these into lamps or lights. There are some scratches on each side, little wear, but what a fascinating item for someone. I am really not sure what to call these. They might be large shelving brackets but I think they went in the corners of a large door or entry way. This auction is for the pair of them. Each one measures 21 inches by 21 inches by 31 inches across. One of them is in perfect shape the other has two cracks in the ornate section however is still solid. I thought about welding those two parts but thought I would leave it to the next owner. I was going to put them in the corners of a door way but they were just to large for that entry. The jug is a chocolate brown color. Approx. 60 inches high, 45 inches in diameter at the la r gest part. The diameter of the outer t op rim is 25.5" and the hole at the top measures 16" The inner diameter of the drain hole is 3.5" and its outer diameter is 5.5" Don't know the exact weight but would guess it at 600 to 900 lbs. There is a chipped spot on the inside of the top ri m. Company name stamped on the jug looks like"GAW" with the letter"S" across the ... morecenter. I do not see any chips or scratches. I do see. As is shown in the picture a bottom mounting bracket but I do not know if it was meant to have a bracket near the top, which this item does not have.
