Antique Cast Iron Railing and Arbor/Gateway This is an extraordinary original cast iron arbor/gateway and railing from the turn of the century. It is made of cast iron. The detail is all surprising intact. Sandblasting will make this piece look amazing. Any rust is surface rust. Solid and Heavy! This auction is for 3 sections of fence. One section is 7 foot long and 30" high The middle arbor/gateway section is 6 feet 8 inches The third section is 7 foot 7 inches long and 30" high In all approximately 21 feet. This can be constructed in several configurations. In the first picture I posted it shows the arbor/gateway in the middle of the two straight railings. This is easy to do as holes are there on both pieces to assemble them in this fashion. From the top of the railings to the bottom of the arch is approximately 2 feet. Gothic, Tudor, Spanish, and others. It could be used either indoors or outdoors with several ways to install and configure. Included are six anchoring T-brackets. These brackets are installed into the ground and the legs slip into ... morethe rods. The two smaller side pieces attach differently than the long piece(see photos) Included are 5 sturdy oak rails, one for each fence section, with a nice warm patina. This unique piece came from the historical 1890 House Museum in Cortland, New York. We're not sure what it was originally used for. Could have been a communion rail or part of a stairway landing. Would be great to edge a sleeping loft or staircase landing. Perfect for a library or garden or use it as a porch or entryway railing to add curb appeal. Measurements: The 2 side sections each measure 31 inches high and 21 inches long. The longest section is 31 inches high and 9 feet 5 inches long with 45 degree angle at the ends extending 13 inches. That's a total of more than 14 feet of railing! Condition: Very clean and in very good+ condition. Iron is straight and intact with very little rusting(a light sanding would suffice to remove it. Should you desire. The oak rail has some hardly noticeable small sections of missing wood on the inside. As shown in photos. Sorry, we do not have mounting hardware, but appropriate screws and bolts are available anywhere. The iron appears to not have been painted and

Black Cast Iron Wrought Iron Railing Church for Pulpit/Podium front of church
Up for auction is a great item from a church possibly as an entrance to the podium or pulpit area. It is cast iron and weighs lots. It is 12' 6 1/2" long and approximately 2' 1-1/4" tall. There are two pieces of long railings and two pieces of gate. There are three crosses spaced out across the 12' sections. The gates measure 23 1/2" X 24 1/4" plus the flanges and are empty of ornamentation in the center. They may have had something inserted in them at one time or another. The two piece gate hooks into the end of the railing panel. The top is recessed. Making it great for an ornate or larger hand rail on the top. This would make great yard art or maybe it can be restored. I am selling as yard art at this price. This railing is to be picked up in Ferguson Iowa and will not be shipped.
