Seven Victorian inside corner blocks for base trim/ moulding/ molding. Hard to find! From a house built in 1900. I ground the nails from the back side to avoid splitting the wood and cracking the paint. These are square at approximately 1 1/8" on each side. Height is approximately 11 1/8" These could be cut down to fit your trim. Penn Antique Restoration. 12.5"H Antique Eastlake Chestnut Plinth Corner Base Trim Block. Wonderful. Antique, plinth block salvaged from Southeastern, PA. The block is made of solid, chestnut, and has a dark stain. The lovely geometric design featured on the face of the block was hand-carved. Also note that chestnut is a rare and valuable wood; it’s not commercially available due to the blight introduced between 1900& 1908. Which made the North American chestnut trees virtually extinct by 1940. There are a couple cracks stemming from the bottom edge of the block. We wanted to try to close them using some glue and clamps. But they add a nice, distressed charm to it and preferred to leave the decision up to you. Antique, Victorian style casement molding and plinth blocks salvaged from an old home in Northeastern, PA. Each set consists of 3, long pieces of molding, 2 square corner blocks, and 2 rectangular base blocks. All parts are made of solid heartpine and are painted white. The molding and base blocks have a lovely, fluted detail, and the corner blocks have a fantastic, concentric motif. The plinth blocks ... moreare all the same height and width. Two of the horizontal. Top strips of molding are 30"W and one is 32"W. The vertical, side strips range from 75" 75 3/4"H. Once you add the height of the base blocks, the distance from the floor to the bottom edge of the top, corner block is about 85"H. Please keep in mind that either or both the strips of molding and base blocks could be trimmed to suite any height up to 85"H-email us for a quote. All pieces have the typical nail holes. Nicks, scrapes, and scratches that you would expect to find on 100+ year old architectural elements. However, there are no serious, structural issues. All parts have be de-nailed.
