Large lot of quartersawn oak wainscot paneling Salvaged in Buffalo. NY Much of the paneling has white paint(looks to be 2 coats) some of the sections have original golden oak varnish. This wood panelling is from a historical Detroit Bank building designed by Stamford White. It is all flamed mahogany and includes a simple line crown molding and base molding. The overall condition is good. The finish is a high sheen lacquer which is in good condition but could be easily removed to show off the be autiful flamed pea ks in the wood. There are 56 linear feet in this lot. The Height of the pan elling including the crown and base molding which are not pictured is 8 ft. There is an addition 35 ft. of 3 ft high molding also included in this lot. These are all of the window moldings from the parlor. There were 6 windows in this room. 5 of them are all the same size. They are 82 tall from the sill to the top. They are 9 feet tall with the paneling that went below the window wills. The width is 39.5 inches wide. The 6th window was 63 tall to the sill. 89 tall with the paneling by 65.75 wide. Description This is an exceptional staircase that was salvaged from a Victorian Mansion in Clarion. PA. We have pretty much everything. Two newel posts. Railings, barley twist balusters, moldings, landings, and paneling. As you walked in the front door. The staircase was just ahead. You take three steps to the first landing. Turn right and up two steps to the second landing. Turn right and up 13 steps to the second floor. Turn right to hallway railing that is 153 inches long. Handrail going up 13 steps is 129 long. Landing 1 is 41.25 long by 40.25 wide. Landing 2 is 39.75 by 39.25. The steps are just over 7 inches high by 11.25 deep. My guy calls this a 7-10 rise. The first floor newel post is 85 inches tall with a paneled shaft. Carved cap and turned finial. The second floor newel is 51.25 inches from the top to the floor. It has carvings ... moreat the top and great ornate moldings and a big finial on the first floor ceiling. This newel post is nailed into the joist and goes through to the first floor ceiling. Everything except the treads and risers which are pine. Is made of 1/4 sawn oak and is unpainted. Exceptionally rare to find a staircase this nice that is 99% complete. Overall it is in very good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. Some of the balusters were broken but we have all the parts. All of them measure 45.5 inches tall without the cap molding. Everything has Gothic linenfold panels and Eastlake beveled edges. The usable lengths are as follows: 81.75 inches 76 inches- there are holes along the top and one at the bottom that can be filled. 38 inches 20 inches- not including the section with 2 large holes. 25 inches- hole at bottom to be filled. 14 inches- hole at bottom to be filled.
