For your purview is a very sweet pair of antique. Turn of the century, cast iron English garden urns on sturdy plinths, 27" tall. Each urn is beautifully embossed with swirls and filigree with a ribbed base and center bun. Each individual plinth measures 12" tall and has an embossed center wreath of Laurel or Eucalyptus leaves. These urns have survived a number of decades that shows well on their distressed patinas. Each individual urn by itself is 15” tall with the top of the trumpet measuring 11” in diameter. Absolutely lovely filled with Forget-Me-Nots or wildflowers cascading down their sides. Asking $750 for the pair. Free pick up at a location near Chapel Hill, NC. Ideal for porch or hallway this versatile lamp is in good condition. The six sided glass has deep indentations forming square shaped panels. The brass dome mounts onto the glass by three circular knurled grub brass screws. The dome is decorated with a beaded border. The light fitting is made of brass and white porcelain and is secured into the dome by a knurled acorn shaped screw fitting. The heavy brass chain is composed of alternating links of standard stlyed links and links that are rebated around their outer periphery. The chain is stamped with"Patent 3169" and the date"1904" placing the lanterns production clearly in the Edwardian period. The lantern is fitted with new brass coloured cloth covered braided cable. Description For auction is a vintage French caged bulkhead light made by Bloc. And often refered to as"Hublots" or portholes. The base is made from either bakelite or a hard plastic and fitted with a ceramic bulb holder. The base and globe are in very good condition with no defects, the cage has minimal surface rusting but is still sound, the original weatherproof gasket is long gone so a simple silicone bead would be needed to ensure a waterproof seal for outside usage. Collection of Classical Greek mouldings. Including seven matching'masks' or heads, plus one slightly larger mask or head, each made from hard, stone-like material(it is not soft like plaster but I'm not sure what it is) These were part of a large collection of plaster mouldings from the estate of an antique restorer and they appear to be modern reproductions of furniture or architectural decoration(please see my other listings from other items from this estate sale) Sadly some are damaged and the left-hand section of hair is missing on 3 masks and there is minor damage on the edges of some pieces. These are rather attractive and unusual items, however, which could add a touch of classical embellishment to your home. The smaller masks measure 6cms by 5.5cms, and the larger mask(centre of image) is 6.5cms by 6.5cms. B. Hedge Plymouth Massachusetts Brick Antique 1830-1880 We are selling a 4 pound. 3 1/2 inch by 8 by 2 inch tall light red brick with B. Hedge Plymouth Mass in raised letters on top surface. The I.L. Hedge Brickyard began in 1830 and was located on Plain Dealing Farm(now Light House Point) in Plymouth Massachusetts. Under I.L.s son Barnabas the business flourished and was one of the largest brick manufacturers in the country. The company ceased business in 1880, so brick can be dated between 1830 and 1880.
