Antique 18 th century newel posts. Railings, balusters spindles These stair parts were salvaged from a c.1765 home in Princeton. MA and appeared to be original to the house. The mortise and tenon newel posts and railings all appear to be hand-made and the balusters appear to be hand-turned. The bases of the newel posts need some restoration but the tops all appear to be in good condition with great wear-marks and every one of these pieces shows great character. I’ll do my best to cover all of the dimensions. A spectacular Aztec style architectural slab from the mansion of Stan Jolley in Rancho Mirage. This was apparently an extra slab not used in the construction of the residence and was purchased at the Jolley estate sale. One of the photos uploaded with this listing shows how these custom-designed slabs were used in the architecture of the mansion. The slab measures approximately 21 x 36 inches and would make a great architectural wall hanging. Cocktail table top, or could be incorporated into a garden setting. The slab appears to be concrete. Because of the heavy weight of the slab, it is offered only for local pick up in Palm Springs. For an additional fee, it might be possible to offer delivery to other points in Southern California. Vintage 1940s original light shade - skin effect covering
A super original vintage 1940s lamp shade- used until recently as a central ceiling lamp shade. The lamp shade appears to be covered in what looks like a moulded skin and then with edging and tassles. The shade measures 31cm across at the bottom while at the top it is 12cm. It stands 22cm tall. Vintage Antique Lot of 6 Unusual Oblong Hole Pointed Top Fence Post Caps Tops !!
Hi: For your consideration here is a cool unusual lot of six(6) vintage or antique galvanized steel fence post caps! These caps are about 7 1/4" tall. The outside diameter of the base is about 2 1/2" and the inside diameter of the cap opening is about 1 7/8" The more oblong than circular top hole is roughly 2" by just short of 1 3/4" inside diameter. We found no maker name but the caps are marked with what looks like'91-1915' We are not going to speculate as to whether this is a date mark, part number, or something else but these are not modern post caps and they are heavy duty weighing over 1 1/2 pounds each. The photos do the best job of describing the condition in detail, and we have tried to show all details for your inspection. Overall there are scratches/scuffs, oxidation, some areas of very light rust, ... morefinish loss, and a bit of dirt, but no cracks or missing pieces that we found on close inspection. These came from a old movie theater from north-east Indiana and date to the late 1800's- early 1900's. There are 37 total pieces in the set. Some pieces have minor fire damage. But most do not. Vintage formed metal wall mounted postal mailbox with mail slot, Circa 1940
Sweet! Very solid. Built like a tank! Gauge of metal is heavy, joints are tightly formed. Factory finish intact on the inside and backside is a mottled enamel. Size 7" wide x 10" high x 2 7/8" deep. In good condition despite the weathered appearance. At some point someone painted over the exposed surfaces with green house paint. Angled top overhangs the front surface by 1/8" so water can run off and not directly down the front. Neat thumb tab turns 360 degrees and allows unit to open. Front cover hinged at the bottom, mail slot has a hinged cover flap mounted on the inside and swings freely. Includes a pair of hooks for holding rolled newspaper or magazines attaches with a screw and nut. 18th century interior sheathing boards consisting of 7 boards. Boards are 6'3" in length and widths are as follows. 17. 8, 26, 16, 16, 14, and 19" There is a total of about 60' board feet. They have an old whiteish gray paint. These boards came from an early 18th century house in Sturbridge MA. I would be glad to answer any questions you may have on this item.

AND DATE OF(JUNE 10.1930) THE MAIL GETS DROPPED IN TOP SECTION WHICH IS ABOUT 1.25" WIDE AND PUSHES UPWARD. TO GET THE MAIL OUT. PUSH LEVER(ON THE FRONT) DOWNWARD WHILE PUSHING ON THE LITTLE HANDLE. THEN THE WHOLE FRONT SECTION LOWERS SO YOU CAN GET MAIL. DOES SHOW WEAR, HAS BEEN PAINTED, HAS SCRATCHES, AND LIGHT RUST ON BACK AND BOTTOM. IT LOOKS LIKE A PLACE FOR A NAME PLATE ON FRONT, BELOW HANDLE. IT IS ABOUT 16" IN LENGTH, ABOUT 6" WIDE AND 3.5" THICK. WOULD MAKE A GREAT VINTAGE MAILBOX FOR YOUR HOUSE.
