It has some inlaid mother-of-pearl it seems to also have some gold leaf paint it is absolutely stunning and did I mention beautiful! This listing is for both the World War 1 soldier photos and frames shown in the photos. Only one has the convex glass.The frames are a dark tiger wood with gesso/rose design and appear quite solid. Both have some damage to the finish/patina. They have hooks& hanging wire on the back. The oval frames measure 22-1/2" X 16-1/2" on the outside and the openings are 18-3/4" X 13" The"FOR LIBERTY" patriotic chalked bust photo did not have the glass and is probably how it got cracked/torn on his rt. side as well as a tear on the rt. side. The full body uniformed pose has a small tear on the rt. side. The glass has some small chips around the edges. These are probably close to 100 yrs. old if not more. Both of these as well as another pair of photos of what appears to be this man or possibly his twin. If he had one, ... moreand of a woman, were all from the same estate. The backs from all of these frames have been removed. I will probably need to put a piece of cardboard on the backs to wrap/package for safer shipping. They had been stored in an attic for probably some time as they were quite dirty. Frame is in good condition and the concave up. Convex glass has no chips, cracks or hairlines. The frame if you look close looks like it has some touching up over the years but it presents very well and is ornate with beading going all around. I was able to get the frame and the picture that was inside was kept by the family and was dated 1870. The frame measures on the outside edges 23" H x 17" W and the inside measures 19" H x 13" W. The frame has a tiger wood faux finish with striking black gesso work. This is a bubble or convex glass frame that is a real eye catcher when displayed. I believe the old photograph is original to the frame. The handsome fella is wearing a collar which tells me this is a turn of the century piece. This is a large picture frame measuring 25 by 19 inches. The frame has been well kept for many decades. The gesso is not chipped up or missing any pieces. Antique Plaster Frame With Light, Convex Glass& Picture of Mary,Joseph and Baby
A 3 deminsional plaster guilded picture frame with an inner light(no plug but wires are there) with a convex bubble glass cover and a colored picture of Joseph. Mary and baby. There is some chipping of plaster on edges. I did remove the back to see if there was a light which there is as shown in the picture. The frame itself is in a cream and gold color the cream being smooth with a high gloss finish. There are molded holes on the four corners in which you can see the silver aluminum foil they had laid behind to reflect the light. The colors on the picture is so vivid and brillant. Just gorgeous. This was purchase from a very old estate which I found it in the attic.It does need a detailed cleaning. The size measures 16" by 13" and 2 1/4" depth.

Paint on surface looks like tiger stripes. Is so called tiger-striped due to this. This antique portrait of the little girl looks like possibly a photograph however it has evident hand-painted colored accents to the flowers on the right-hand side of the portrait(see pics)so I am unsure if it could be a painting or partial painting-it is faded, it is old and has fading has several cracks running through it and some abrasions and small amount of paper loss at edges(see pics)portrait could be replaced with buyer's alternate portrait. It has wire hanger on back for hanging(see pics) I can see no cracks or chips to the wood portion front of the frame, the back of the wooden frame has some small expected chips to wood only at the back. The frame is in very good period condition with some wear and small abrasions to surfaces and to the paint on frame, the frame measures approx. 22.5" tall x 16.5" wide with opening at back where the portrait sits-the portrait itself-and the cover glass as well measures approx. 19.75" tall x 13.75" wide-the glass and the portrait are obviously slighter smaller in dimensions. Paper backing at back is old and crumbly showing loss the backing and is held in place with nails(see pics) Glass is'bubble-shaped' convex glass that is rounded and bevels outward(see pics) It in very good period condition with no repairs and no cracks or chips or deep scratches, is not cloudy, it does have several flea bites at edges of glass only. 3 ANTIQUE GEORGIAN ERA FAMILY 1860-70's IMAGES CONVEX GLASS VELVET FRAMES
This is a set of 3 images of what appears to be a family of a mother. Father& child. I am not certain if the images are photos or something else. There are papers in between the backs& images dating to the 1860-70's. They don't really look like photographs up close. The glass is convex and curves out. The two parents frames are approx. 6" tall and 4.75" wide, and the child's is 5.25" tall X 4.25" wide. When I removed the backs it appears as though the images may smear if they were handled much. I have no idea who the family may be, but they were purchased in Wisconsin.

Offered for auction is a Victorian. Bubble convex glass, gold wood and blue and rose colored flower gesso picture frame. The frame measures approx. 18" x x 12" the glass measures 15x 9" This frame considering it's age is in excellent condition,it dose have gold paint loss on both edges, that could easily be repainted. A lovely Victorian wood picture frame with tiger wood grain. Convex bubble glass and a portrait of a well dressed young girl. The glass is original and is convex dome bubble glass. The frame is made of wood with a thin layer of plaster over it, then painted with a brown and black tiger grain design. The frame is age appropriately worn and has light chips on the black paint on sides which you can see in the attached photos. This fine piece of workmanship is 115 years old and has been well taken care of. As shown in my pictures. PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES. Beautiful Antique Vintage Convex Glass Gesso Picture Frame
This is a really pretty antique picture frame with Convex Glass. It is in great vintage condition. There are a few paint chips and a small nick to the gesso approximately 4:00 position.nothing that detracts. The frame is approximately 12 3/4" wide by 22" long with a 17" by 10" picture opening.
