Description Offered at auction is a quality antique pendant style picture frame which measures 5 1/2" long. 4 1/4" wide. The oval frame features a fine row of patterning around the perimeter. It has a solid brass back and a bale for hanging, and the glass is convex or bubble glass. The frame was made by K& O, Kronheimer and Oldenbusch of Brooklyn, New York. The company worked from 1895 to 1942. This frame probably dates to 1910-1920. It holds a print of a pretty lady. The frame and photo are both in very nice condition. The print has no soiling or discoloring. The frame has no dents or cracks in the metal. The back is fine and fits well, and the bale is intact. Very pretty piece. Thanks for looking.

ANTIQUE WALNUT FRAME GOLD LINER OLD PRINT GOODCONDITION LADY & KING CHAS SPANIEL
LARGE ANTIQUE DEEP WALNUT FRAME WITH ANTIQUE PRINT Walnut frame and antique print are both circa 1860– 1880’s. The print– a pensive woman at her writing desk. With her dog near her, pulling the feathers off of the woman’s bonnet– very sweet! The dog looks like a King Charles spaniel. Antique print is in good condition–black and white with good detail to the engraving. There is a small margin(about 1/2 inch at the bottom of the print with some faded printing– one side has the artist who painted the scene(Hartwich) and the other side looks like the publisher– I can make out the word BerlinLouisenstr– printing is very light. Framed in an early Victorian walnut frame with original Victorian gold tone liner and ebonized accents- both in good original condition– maybe just a few very minor discolorations on the gold tone liner and some“use” marks ... moreon the walnut– see my pictures. The outer corners of the frame are tight– no wiggle. No spaces. Frame has glass and an old stretcher backing behind the print to protect it– see photos of side and back of print. Frame outside edges measure 20 ½ inches by 26 ¾ inches. Frame& contents weigh about 8 pounds before any packing materials. Opening size for the glass and contents is 16 ¾ inches by just over 22 ½ inches. The frame measures over 2 inches from the side. Or a total of 3 inches including the back stretcher behind the print. This image is of an attractive short black haired woman and her majestic white horse. You usually see brown and black horses. But this is an exceptional horse in white. She is feeding a red apple to the horse, as he already has taken a bite out of it. Can see the foliage in the background of the trees, appears to be the fall time frame. ANT ORNATE GESSO FRAME With Print of Empire Period Lady in Magnificent Attire.
Another interesting find from my stored inventory. Last seen at the latest in 2002. Beginning in 1985, I started a business as an Antique Textiles dealer setting up at Antique Shows in Texas. I always included small decorative items for sale with the textiles for contrast and variety. THIS STUNNING FRAMED PRINT WAS IN MY FINAL INVENTORY. It was never placed for sale. It's just been packed away since I found it at a Dallas estate sale in around 1990. The heavy, ornate Frame is 11 1/2" by 13" with the opening 8" by 10" The thickness front to back) is up to 2" I don't know the name of the Lady or the artist, time spent researching would only increase the price! The paper seal has suffered in storage, it's become brittle and fragile. Each time I touched it or moved it for the photographs, another fragment ... morewould fall away. Since I could see under the paper backing, I saw a very old wood piece behind the print. See photo#10) The amazing Gesso frame is not the usual and ordinary. Antique Portrait or Print. It is signed by ALTA on lower bottom. It measures 20 3/4 x 6. Over the print or portrait it looks like they have a cut out of the Lady and her hair. Also real lace under hair. The bottom right is missing screw or whatever you would call that. There are a few scratches on the frame as which you can see in pictures. The screw might be in the back of the picture because you can hear it rolling around but I didn't want to take the backing off. Otherwise in good condition. Thanks for looking!

23"X27" this is a beautiful picture. It appears to be old not like a modern print of an ol dpicture. I took it out of the nailed down frame to get a closer look. It may be a lithograph but I really don't know. It cam from an old house full of antques. The frame is wooden and has a lot of character with touches of green. I'm no expert on antique prints or frames. So I can't vouch for the age or style of this piece. This is one of several I will be listing. They come from a Victorian house I purchased in the 1980s. Decorating the parlor, stairwell, dining room, and bedrooms. The prints have been stored in my basement for years and it's time to let them go! Dimensions: Apx. 9" x 12.5" Material: Wood/ Glass/ hanging wire is included. Hand painted flower/vine/scalloped motif embellishes the edges of the frame. It's hard to describe. But quite beautiful and perfect for the subject of the print. I've included photos taken by 2 different cameras. The first is much more true to color, but the second shows details fairly well(pardon the glare from the glass! Subject: Lady with pink dress and black fringed shawl.
