The filigree is gilded and the metal is probably French white metal or spelter. The gilding appears to be the original finish. It has an easel style back and stands nicely. The glass and photograph slide in from the top. There is an original antique wedding photo, or cabinet card, on the inside. This lovely old frame measures approximately 8 1/4" high x 6 1/4" across. The viewing area is about 5" high x 3 1/2" across. It is in very good condition with the glass intact and all of the metal looks good. A rope rim around the photo area and rope style feet. It measures about 3 1/8" tall and 2 3/8" wide. The photo space is about 2 1/4" by 1 3/4" The metal of frame looks brass. It has original metal stand. The backing is tin type metal. The frame originally has four cut tabs to hold the backing, two of them missing, the remaining two still can hold the backing nicely. I leave them un-fold for you to put in photo. The condition is great with all stones intact. Few of clear stones a bit darken from ages, but no chips. Some light patina on metal. Antique Metal Filigree Picture Photo Frame 8 X 10 - Oval Inset
Antique Metal Filigree Picture Frame This beautiful frame displays the exquisite filigree workmanship that existed during the early 1900's. There are geometric shapes lining the front of the frame and small flowers along the back of the frame. The edge has yet another pattern. The frame appears to be made of brass. But I'm not certain. The frame measures approximately 10-1/8 inches by 8-1/8 inches. There is an OVAL inset within the 8 X 10 picture frame. Note: The photos distort the oval image and it appear to be round. However. It is a very lovely oval shape. This is in very good condition for its age. The brown velveteen back board shows some minor wear. A pin has been punctured through the back board to help secure the stand but I do not believe it is necessary. Note: Some of the photos were taken with the back board removed in ... morean effort to better show off the metal filigree work.

Antique Victorian Cast Gilt Metal Painted Photo Picture Frame Or Mirror Acanthus
Victorian cast metal or brass that is painted off white picture frame or mirror. The picture frame has very nice rococco style acanthus leaves designs all round and it is self standing with an easel type of metal on the back that folds in or extends out to hold the picture frame in place. The area for a picture or for a mirror has an opening on the front of 3 3/4" X 5 1/2" The measurements of the whole frame are 12" long X 8 1/2" wide. Please note that we are not sure if the off white paint finish is original to the frame or if someone did this at a later date. We do know however. That the frame itself is indeed dating from the Victorian Era. If the new owner wishes to remove the off white paint, the frame would show its gold gilt under coat which is now visible in a few areas here and there where the paint wore off. NO RESERVE… This auction is for 2 different old little Picture frames. The Enameled Gold Toned Frame measures approx. 3 inch by 2 1/2 inch. The old photo is under glass and is of a young man with very strange looking hair. There are crapes and spots on the photo. If you look closely at my pictures you can see a couple of tiny spots where the enamel is missing. But nothing terrible. The back has a little hanging wire, but I can see where there was once a prop stand on the back side. I think this one is a little treasure. The other Frame is leather over wood with a brass metal oval mat center. The entire Frame measures approx. 3 1/2 inch by about 2 1/2 inch. The little girl picture is mounted under glass. Very sweet looking little girl. You can see in my photos that the leather is age worn and has a couple of spots on it. This frame has a prop ... morestand and a hanging wire. Vintage Gold Metal Picture Frame w/Antique Photo of baby Embossed Design Fabric
Adorable little antique picture frame. Pretty embossed gold metal design on front& sides. Nice picture of the baby from the late 1800's. Measures 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 and the oval is just under 3x4. There is no glass. On the sides of the oval it is a mauve like fabric in nice condition. I don't think there is suppose to be glass. Picture is in very nice condition and frame is also. Black felt on the back. TERMS: Payment is due within 3 days from end of Auction. PayPal is my preferred method of payment. RETURNS: If you are not happy with the item.
