The filigree is gilded and the metal is probably French white metal or spelter. The gilding appears to be the original finish. It has an easel style back and stands nicely. The glass and photograph slide in from the top. There is an original antique wedding photo, or cabinet card, on the inside. This lovely old frame measures approximately 8 1/4" high x 6 1/4" across. The viewing area is about 5" high x 3 1/2" across. It is in very good condition with the glass intact and all of the metal looks good. VINTAGE SMALL 3.5"x4.75" FLORAL STAMPED METAL PICTURE FRAME w EASEL LEG
This small vintage metal picture frame is 3 ½” x 4 ¾” with a picture size of 1 7/8” x 3 1/8” The soft white metal frame is stamped with a Daisy floral design and pinned on each corner to a cardboard backing. The cardboard back and the easel leg are covered with a brown alligator/reptile skin print paper. There is a 2 3/8” wide slot at the top of the frame to insert your picture. The slot does not seem thick enough to put in a piece of glass to protect the photo but you could insert a sheet of clear plastic/vinyl in front of the picture. Currently there is no glass or plastic. The easel leg is a little wobbly. No dents or cracks in the metal frame. No tears or stains on the green mottled paper showing in the frame or alligator print paper on the back. This antique or vintage oval brass picture frame is 2 ¼ inches wide and 3 inches tall. And the viewable area is about 2 ½ inches tall and a little under 2 inches wide. It has a plain design with a beaded edge. And an easel back for standing. The back and glass just push out of the frame for inserting the picture. This is made from brass. Or a metal with a brass finish, I’m not sure which. The glass has quite a few chips around the edge which for the most part are covered by the frame. But there is one at the top that you can see if you are looking for it– see 2 photos with arrows of this one spot. It is more noticeable in the photos than it looks on the actual frame. The metal has a warm aged color that is darkened and somewhat uneven. Overall good vintage condition on this charming little frame. Lot 2 Art Deco Brass Silver Metal Vintage Picture Frames Velvet Easel Hallmark
These two wonderful art deco picture frames are both in good condition with some scratching and wear which I have tried to show in the pictures. They are in very sturdy condition and weigh over a lb. each. Sorry for the glare on some of the pictures! The paper insert that came in the silver one reads Solid Brass. Hand polished& lacquer coated and it has a made in Korea sticker on its black velvet back. It opens by a brass latch into a photo album which holds about 56 photos which looks like it was never used. Its overall measurements are close to 7 x 9 x 1 1/4 inches and it weights 1.10 lbs. The one that is silver and gold on the front appears to be partly brass also and has a black velvet stand back with the"Hallmark" logo on it. It weighs 1.3 lbs. Again. Antique Brass Plated Metal Easel Photo Frame CDV Size French Style
I believe this small antique brass-plated metal photo frame was intended to hold carte de visite size photos. It measures approximately 3" x 4&1/4" overall and the back plate measures approximately 2&1/2" x 3&7/8" As shown. It has scratches and wear, a bend in the metal, and a piece of old cellophane tape(stubbornly) stuck to the back. I've never tried to straighten out the bend because I like the way it looks as it is. I couldn't find a manufacturer's mark. But the back is imprinted"pat apl'd for" and what looks like the date Sep 14 97(1897) is imprinted at the bottom of frame back. Please note that the metal does not attract a magnet-I stuck a business card in the frame for display and used a small rare earth magnet on BOTH sides of the metal to hold it in place.

Old c 1920's Antique Rococo Cameo Nouveau Ornate Scrollwork Easel Metal Filigree
This is a superb c. 1920’s Rococo art nouveau cast metal Victorian picture frame with an easel back. This fabulous cameo style old picture frame is gorgeous with its shell and fan motif. Scrollwork detailing, and heavy use of Rococo and art nouveau style. The overall coloring is a rubbed, distressed gold color and it is completely original- all the ornate filigree detail is intact. There is a bit of age related wear to the metal and some very minor scuffing, but nothing that detracts(it is in amazing condition) and while it is unmarked it is certainly very early. It has a simple rod on the backside as the easel leg and a metal sleeve/ box on the backside designed to be open at the top edge, where the photo would slip in. There is one area near the very top where a weld has come loose, but the sleeve is still tight overall and not wobbly– ... moreand there are no issues with any of the other welds. Slight denting to that area as I show, but nothing major– as I said, a picture can easily slip inside. The oval picture opening is 4.5” high x 3” wide. Overall the frame stands 8.5” high x 6” wide. The metal sleeve on the backside can accommodate a picture that is 6.5” x 4.5” give or take ¼” Truly stunning, this Victorian frame would be a perfect addition to your shabby chic, romantic cottage, antique, Paris apartment or French Country or cottage décor home.
