Aldis Lantern Handheld Nautical Maritime Ship Signal Light Lamp 4 Inch
For your consideration today is a beautiful example of a 4 inch. Handheld Aldis lantern used as a ships' signal light. Included. Is an old custom made oak box with a missing handle/strap, an extra blue lens and connecting cable with brass fittings. The extra lens does have a crack as shown in the photo. I did look for identifying marks, but none were found. What looks like a nameplate on the side and another on the bottom of the unit, is rubbed clean evidently from years of use. Although I don't have a power source to test this lamp. When I depress the switch, I get a good continuity reading on my ohmmeter, and when released, it shows none. This tells me that the cable, switch and lamp are still good. The signaling trigger appears to work, as when it is pulled, the mirror does pivot slightly up and down. The areoscope(telescopic sight) ... moreis clear and the sighting cross-hairs are crisp and visible. All-in-all, for its age, this wonderful piece of maritime history is in good condition. This is wired for electricity but I don't know if it is original wiring or was rewired or what. To be honest. I haven't plugged it in to test whether it works or not. Either. Because I am just a little scared to do so! I don't see why it wouldn't work but again, I am not 100% sure that it does. It stands a little over 14 in. tall and the base is almost 7 in. across. OLD MARINE BRONZE CAGED SHIP LIGHT FIXTURE
Up for auction I have this very nice old bronze Pauluhn brand vapor tight caged ship light fixture. It is constructed very heavy and in very good shape as shown in the pictures. The glass protective jar cover is in perfect shape with no scratches pits or chips. The rubber gasket to seal it is still in good. Not deteriorated yet. The Edison bulb socket is in ideal shape as well with hardly any corrosion going on at all. The cage threats are nice and screws really easy. The fixture has one wire compression fitting on one side of it as well as seen in the picture. This fixture is aged but been kept in a very controlled environment all this time. Vintage Bronze Ship's Navigation Light , needs lights
Heavy bronze casing for ship's light. No wiring. Or lens is with this. From the front this measures 5" high where the lens would fit. 6" wide. Apprx 8-1/4" from the bottom of the front to the back. This has a number embossed on the inner case. 9737. There is a symbol above it in the shape of a shield but I am unable to see the symbol inside the shield. The weight is apprx 7 pounds. This is for one vintage– antique red glass lens for a boat light. Ship light, shore light or lantern. It is in the shape of half of a cylinder. The lens is in the shape of a Fresnel lighthouse style lens. It is red glass through and through. Not just red on the surfaces. It is 7 3/8 inches tall and 7 7/8 inches wide at it's widest. It has an inside diameter of 6 9/16 inches. It has a molded in rabbit or stepped edge for mounting in the lantern on the top and bottom. On the top edge it has"Corning Made in U.S.A. molded in the glass. The side edges have grind marks from making it flat there. There are some small chips on the edges. There are no cracks or repairs on it. It came from Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is at the west end of Lake Superior and has a large ocean going ship harbor. Vintage Mid Century Ceramic Ship TV lamp light from the 50's works fine
Portable TV lamp. Sticker on back reads underwriter's lab. Nice ship on the water. Back in the fifties when someone bought a new TV this would be given to the customer as a bonus, that is why they are called TV lamps. This one actually survived all those years and works. Due to the age there is typical age crazing but nothing is broken. On very top there might be a slight loss of paint but no chips. This looks wonderful lit up at night. Would recommend a low wattage bulb on this lamp. 10 inches high by about 12 inches in length.

We have refurbished the light by stripping of the paint and polishing the lights so that could regain their former luster. The lights are rewired with basic UL approved sockets and wires. Antique Dietz Brass Maritime Dark Lantern Red Glass Ship Light
Here's a great old Dietz marine lantern in excellent condition. See Condition. From my research I believe it's circa 1917-1918. It's a dark lantern. With a brass sheath that pulls up to protect the glass. The sheath has numerous cracks around it(as most do) and is difficult to push back down(thus, no photos of it) Size is 11 1/4" tall x about 6 3/4" across the bottom. Aside from a few minor dings I can't find any fault with this lantern. If you know old lanterns, you'll most likely conclude, as I did, that it has much less wear than one would expect. Antique Brass Ship's Light Contains correct and highly sought after cobalt blue globe. A rare find. Cord including on/off switch is in good shape. Works as it should. Globe has chip to the lip that sits between the housing and lid. This chip is not visible when lid is on and light is lit. Both sliding doors(front/bottom) are present which makes this an even rarer find. It stands 12 inches high with about a 6 inch diameter. Very nice old cast iron metal lamp- dolphin/serpent footed base with floral motif around upper edge- metal is painted rusty brownish color- base underside is green as shown. Interior is ribbed plastic type material. Unknown if original to the piece. There is an opening at bottom- possibly for bulb/socket/wiring- can be used as a candle holder or rewired for lamp- one of the serpent figures has a hole in front as shown in 6th photo- unknown original use- possibly a ship lantern that was bolted down. Antique Maritime Heavy Ship Light Lamp Deep Blue
Estate sale find. This is a heavy duty water proof ships navigational Blue lamp. It's 9 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide and the mount on the bottom is 7 1/2" across. The glass is deep blue and has some chips but no cracks. This would make a great lamp or art project. Or if you have a one bathroom home this could be lit outside the door in the cieling when the bathroom is taken. Just a thought.

This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 4 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle.
